Description
With a field of 5 ha (500 acres) in the Calvados country side, I feel overwhelmed by all that I want to achieve in an ecofriendly way and cannot (not strong enough, and bad back). I am looking for like minded people (travellers, ecofriendly oriented) to come and spend time here. For help and exchange. Senior, I have been abroad for 23 years almost, speak French and English, my husband is not helping with my project and does not live here all the time. Our old normand house is in the La Touques valley, in a nice community, 3 kms away from the village, 8 from the small town of Livarot. I like sharing time with people, cooking, and mostly being outdoors.

Frankly I am not sure, it depends on what you want from that experience. I am French, and can share ideas on books, philosophy, cooking, I can listen pretty well. A lot of sites around for someone who loves history (caen, `William the conquerer, Dday, middle age...) and the sea is 50 mns driving from here. We can learn together to use our permaculture knowledge to put into practice. My English is also good enough to help someone you prefers to speak in this language.

depending on your skills, I have a "chose in the list" idea. Creating new hedges, building new fences with the wood on site, creating Dry Hedges , moving soil, creating a strong fence to stop soil going down on some places, buiding a gate, planting trees and a wild wood, Not all of this has to be done by the same people, it is mainly some ideas. ...

Accommodation
private guest house for 2 people , rez de chaussée, and if needed, another private big ensuite with king bed plus small cooking facility on first floor of guest house. Independant entrances.

you will need your feet, bicycle or car to move around. Easy access (15 mns) to Lisieux train station. Lisieux is a nice place to visit , (basilique). You can go to the beach (cabourg, deauville, ouistreham...), or visit Rouen, Caen, Alençon. Even go to Paris with a 1h40 mns train from Lisieux.

I can accept a very well behaved dog. this place is in the country side and has a lot aof animals around, so if your dog comes back on call, then it is fine. the place is not fenced.
