Description
Hi, my name is Shantell and I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Four mountains, three valleys of rain forest, natural bush and an unpolluted creek. 1.5 hours from Sydney city and only minutes away from the Colo River. We are also on the edge of the blue mountains.
In order to live in paradise we create and set an example to others.
We have many projects available to work on to suit a variety of talents and keen learners.
The country air is beautiful and there are some picturesque parks and rivers to visit as well.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
Our intention is to share our community philosophy and vision of a brighter future with the multitudes of visitors and those seeking their own truth.
We are not a business entity. We are not-for-profit, non-government intentional community. We focus on cultivating a "gifting" culture instead of monetary exchange. Of course, some things still need to be paid with money, however we are doing our best to shift into living from an abundance mindset of gifting our time, energy and resources knowing there is enough for everyone when we share.
All of our visitors and guests contribute equal energy exchange by doing hours of work every day. We spend our days building, designing, landscaping, caring for animals and enjoying nature. In Summer we visit the Colo River and in winter we watch movies and participate in other indoor activities
Our project work is very much determined by the weather, so our hours and day adjust often.
Of course, we all keep the place clean, tidy and prepare meals daily, on top of the working day projects.
If you don't mind helping out and wish to spend your nights in a rainforest paradise then let us know and come give us a hand.
For those who love to give and share and work unselfishly we extend all our gratitude and invite you to stay as long as you are able.
An orientation handbook will be provided to you upon confirmation of your stay with us.
No smoking, no illegal drugs, no hair dyes.
Only bring environmental, eco-friendly products.
Current Projects:
~ Chicken Run (completed)
~ Aviary (completed)
~ Carport and storage shed
~ Footbridge for creek crossing
~ small kitchen build
~ weeding
~ maintaining clear fire trails
... much more.
Note: a lot of people who stay here are healing practitioners, therapists, and bodyworkers, etc. If you choose to have sessions with them they may ask for a monetary payment and/or energy exchange. The same thing applies if you are a practitioner and someone wants a session with you. All of this is separate to the conditions of your stay here.Languages

Everybody is living in tents or caravans, bedding can be provided, although it's better to bring your own sheets or sleeping bags if you have them.
Eventually we will build simple sleeping dwellings, so if you are inspired to create that here, you are very welcome.
Even though we live in the middle of the bush we have compost toilet and hot showers with a nice view of the river.
Note: we are not a camping ground or an accommodation business, so you cannot just pay and stay and not contribute energetically.
We provide all basic meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We cater to vegan and vegetarian as well as omnivores. However, if guests have very specific special food needs, we encourage them to purchase that themselves and adjust working hours tp suit. We generally all prepare and eat meals communally. We have some snack foods we share, but encourage guests to buy their own munchies if they want to.What else ...
if you have your own car that is an advantage. However, we can pick you up from Windsor station.
If you don't have a vehicle, all we ask is from you is to be considerate with timing your arriving and departure and give us 48 hours notice at least. It is a 30 minute drive to anywhere and we need to schedule our outings to the best use of time and activity.A little more information
