    Description

Hello, we're Liz and Paul and we live in central north Tasmania, along a creek, in the birdsong and under a Mountain. I'm a historian, and Paul is a musician. We're leftie/greenie types, and we love working on our block, yoga on our deck, and hiking. We have a sweet old Jack Russell and lots of wildlife comes to visit. We both play piano and have singalongs. I'm always trying to learn Flamenco and Spanish - I'm hopeless! I'm often tucked away writing and Paul's often working on his house renovation in Launceston, so could take you in when you want to visit.

I speak a little Spanish, otherwise we speak English here. Paul is from London, I grew up in Melbourne's outer-north and raised my 2 girls in Melbourne's inner-north, where they still live. We play piano and trumpet and have sing-a-long and BBQs. It's just such a stunning place to live, we have pademelons, wallabies, echidnas, a quoll, platypus, birds. We can teach English and converse in English. We can teach piano and trumpet. We can teach skills around removing invasive species without using chemicals. We can teach composting, gardening, wood cutting, operating a ride-on-mower, some outside structure building, caring for wildlife, cooking. We'll mostly eat together, converse and share music. But you'd also have your own fireplace and camper-trailer 400 metres above our house, listening to the creek. We have gorgeous neighbours and there are stunning walks nearby, peaks and waterfalls. We have a fern tree gully down our creek.

  • Help

    Help

We need someone to pull out our foxgloves, that are growing back from our last sweep. We also need someone to hop on our ride-on-mower and in our canoe to paddle around our dam to pull out any bulrushes coming back. If you're handy we'd love some help fortifying our vegie patch from animals. Also we harvest our wood from our block so there's a bit of gathering and stacking.

    Accommodation

A camper trailer with 2 double beds and a stove and sink. This runs on solar, and is 400 metres above our house. You'd use our toilet shower bath and laundry. There's a fireplace up there and lots of wood to sit around under the stars, watching the wallabies bounding by. We'll set you up with food and you can eat dinner with us or cook your own up in the van if you prefer.
