    Description

Hi! We are a multicultural family of 3 - very soon to be 4 - and we live on a small organic dairy & veg farm by a lakeside near Ringsted in Denmark (Sjælland). In the house also lives Cali, our blue heeler dog.
Jan (from Czech Republic) works on the farm and Nina (from France) takes care of little Ava, 15 months and soon will give birth to a second baby. We are passionate about nourishing food, growing & cooking what we eat, we have both traveled extensively for the past 15 years and we love to share stories over a meal. We are both pretty calm and quiet, we enjoy a peaceful but active everyday:)

We can share everything we have learned through our years of traveling, Jan is a very skilled builder, gardener, fruit & veg grower, he also knows his way around animal husbandry and he loves to talk about what he knows. Nina has a passion for wholesome food , she loves to share moments in the kitchen making sourdough bread, crêpes, sauerkraut, yogurt or baked goods. Singing is also high on the list, and there’s a guitar available for the keen musicians.
We’d be happy to hear new stories, discuss with likeminded people from anywhere in the world since we don’t have the possibility to travel around at the moment :) And we’re always keen to learn new skills on the way.

As we are expecting a second child while raising a small one at home already, we are hoping to find someone to help us during the postpartum period mostly with cooking, taking care of the eldest & light household tasks ( the occasional vacuum session, some laundry). We would love to host someone curious & easy-going who is comfortable around young kids and loves cooking wholesome food. Nina will be at home, probably busy with a newborn, but we don’t expect the guest to be left alone doing tasks.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We live in a big comfortable house with plenty of space for everyone, the guest would have his own comfortable room but share the bathroom & kitchen with the family.
We provide food for every meal, we don’t always eat together as Jan is outside a lot so our meals are quite flexible. We expect the guest to cook one big warm lunch per working day, and the dinner can be taken together using leftovers & condiments or we don’t mind that everyone does as they feel like/ follow their rythm.
We can unfortunately not host vegetarians/vegans as we live on a farm and a large part of our diet comes from what is produced here (dairy, meat, veg, fruits, eggs).

The nearest town is a 10mn drive and from there a train can take you to Copenhagen in 30mn. We can drop and pick up from the train station. There are also bikes you can use to roam around, and there are plenty of walks around the surrounding lakes and forest to enjoy on your time off.
