*** SORRY WE CANNOT CATER FOR VEGETARIANS AND CANT HAVE DOGS**
DIY is off for now. We are looking for someone who LOVES cleaning! We can offer good food and good music and hopefully some fun to help the work be more enjoyable!
Its spring clean time. We need detailed cleaning inside cupboards, under furniture, in the fridge, behind the sofa, up the walls... you name it we need it! PLEASE COME AND HELP!!
We are an English family living in the village of Puigpunyent in the Tramontana Mountains, 20 minutes from the centre of Palma. Our two daughters aged 6 and 3 go to the village school and have integrated well in to village life. Mallorquí is the language of the village (a form of Catalan) but Castellano is also widely spoken, so our daughters are getting to grips with 3 languages while Mum manages with 2 (but could use help improving so Spanish speakers are preferred) and Dad struggles along in 1!
Our house is in need of some love and attention! It is an old finca and really needs some general improvements. Two children keep us fairly busy so finding time to get on with building projects is tricky. We are looking for extra pairs of hands to enable us to achieve the goals. We prefer short term stays of up to about 2 weeks.
In the summer months: Looking for help with the girls, help in the house and garden.
In the winter months: DIY enthusiasts, general handyman/women, builders, carpenters, plumbers, plasterers, painters, gardeners???
We lead a relatively peaceful lifestyle (buoyed up by active children!) in a very quiet corner of the village with lovely views and surroundings. It is a very calm and beautiful place which has the benefit of being only a 5 minute walk from the centre of the village.

In 2011 the Tramuntana Range was awarded World Heritage Status by UNESCO as an area of great physical and cultural significance. The whole range has been preserved as an important nature reserve, outstanding in their geology and forest cover and harbouring a diversity of plant and animal species, away from rapid urbanization.
The GR221 hiking trail passes through Puigpunyent.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
We are looking for people to come and help around the home, along with some more ‘exciting’ projects such as: garden work, wall building, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, painting, making new shutters etc. Ideally we would like to find a couple who are happy to share our home, enjoy our relaxed lifestyle, bbq and pool while helping us both in and outdoors. Cooking etc (the mundane side of life) will be shared by all.

Accommodation is provided in our house, a twin room with en-suite bathroom. We would provide breakfast every day and a light lunch and supper on work days. We are looking for people who are happy to help out with the cooking - sharing the work in a family style.
The village has 5 bar/restaurants, 2 supermarkets, 2 banks, a post office, 2 hairdressers, 2 beauty salons and pharmacy. There is a bus service in to Palma (reasonably regular service) and it takes about half an hour. The area has some great hikes and is very popular with cyclists and photographers. The local vineyard runs wine tours and tastings or the highlights of Palma and its beautiful old town are only just down the road.
We have limited internet at the house but most of the cafes in the village offer free wifi.
