Description
At the moment we're looking for a volunteer to help us starting on early September 2024 and ideally until end of June 2025.
We’re a family of four members living in Barcelona and have twins seven years old, a boy (Gael) and a girl (Greta).
We live in Poble Nou neighborhood, very close to the beach (only 3 minutes walking) It's a calm neighborhood with the benefit that you can reach the center of Barcelona by public transportation (tube or bus), and it will take you about 20/25 min to reach the center.
We love to eat healthy food (I like to cook a lot :-), including cakes :-)) and about hobbies we can tell you that we love sports, running, biking, skying, etc so when possible we love to spend the weekends abroad enjoying the nature.
We're looking for a native or a very fluent English speaker volunteer; who will speak always with them in English and with us when we're all together. But we can speak in Spanish or Catalan when we're spending time with the volunteer alone (dinners, etc).
I speak Catalan (local language) with Greta and Gael, but Sergio speaks Spanish with them, and between Sergio and myself we speak Spanish as well.
We're looking for a volunteer to live with us and help us bringing and picking up them to/from the school, to their daily activities, taking care of them, play with them, etc.
If you’re interested in coming to our home, take care of Greta and Gael and enjoy everything that one of the most cosmopolitan Mediterranean cities can offer to you please contact us, we would be delighted to have you at home!!Types of help and learning opportunities

Barcelona is a very cosmopolitan city with a lot of interesting places to visit, the volunteer could learn both Catalan (in case is interested of course) and/or Spanish, cook Mediterranean food, and near Barcelona there are very nice areas to visit as well.

The volunteer will help bringing te babies to the school at 9am and picking up them in afternoon at 4pm and then spending the rest of the afternoon until they have dinner (around 8pm). Once they will finish the school by 22nd June, the au pair would need to help us in the mornings until I finish my work at 2:30 pm CET.
The volunteer would offer to us as well an overnight baby sitter a week (means just babysit our twins while we will be out for the evening), every two weeks it could be that we ask her to do the overnight baby sitter a Friday or a Saturday.Languages spoken

Our house is very well connected to the center using public transportation, tube or bus. If you like sports it's also very well placed, you can run along the beach, or swim there, etc. It's a very nice area.

I would describe Barbara as a very responsible, open mind, kind and mature person. As she works in Germany in a kindergarten she knew since the first moment how to deal with our twins, she toke care of them,… read more
