    Description

    Hello!
We are a 50-year-old mother, Tracy, and an 8-year-old girl, Lía. We have recently moved house to a quaint town called Binissalem and we love it here! The town is on the train line with a good mix of local and international residents.

At home we speak English, but I speak Spanish fluently and Lía is learning it. I'd be super happy if you speak Spanish so Lía can practice more but English is also ok.

Our new house is great and very comfortable. It is not a building site, but there are a few things which a handy person could help with in terms of improvements, like a bit of painting, and a few odd jobs here and there, depending on your skills.

Ideally, right now I would love to manifest a couple - one with good DIY skills, very confident using a drill to leave little jobs very well done. Maybe some painting.
The other could help with domestic tasks, cooking, cleaning, order in the home, and also help me to organise the items I would like to upload to websites to pass on in the second hand markets.

Although generally childcare is not required, bets of you enjoy the company of a fun and curious child.

COOKING is a must. I can usually manage to stay on top of cooking healthy meals for me and Lía but don't want any Workaways who need me to cook for them. But we can also do things together. if there are 2 of you, depending on what others tasks are a priority, I may ask you to cook certain things.

The new house has a yoga room! But it's still messy and needs some more organisation. If you are creative maybe you can help paint a mandala or something beautiful on the wall. Depending on your skills we will find things you can help with.
We also have a small garden / patio and if you're good with plants you can definitely help me out there.

If you enjoy cooking healthy food this is a skill I very much appreciate!
We eat meat. I also love vegetarian dishes if you can produce things that Lía likes, or on the days Lia is not home. We eat mostly wheat free at home and avoid processed sugar and other highly processed foods.

    Here's a bit about us:

I strive to live life from a place of love and truth. Some of the tools that help me on this path are yoga, dance, meditation and tantra.

Lía is a lively, curious, intelligent, fun and affectionate girl, who loves the company of children and grown-ups and playing, laughing, painting, being in the garden inventing a potion, building fairy houses, but also climbing, jumping and doing more adventurous things.

Lía lives 5 days with me and 2 days with her father, she normally goes from Tuesday to Thursday with him. Some weeks if he travels, she is with me every day. She is at school from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Childcare is not really a big part of what I require from workaway but of course, living together you would sometimes hang out with her. I work from home.

I am an early bedder! We go to bed between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. every day, we read a story, and when Lía falls asleep, I usually go to bed too. Then I usually wake up quite early. Lia wakes up around 8 a.m. So we ask for quiet during our sleeping hours - how god are you at moving like a silent ninja?

The new house is large, has 3 floors, 3 bedrooms plus the big yoga room. It has 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet downstairs. It has an outdoor covered terrace and a small exterior patio.
The guest bedroom is on the top floor with nice views and this is where you would sleep, with a comfortable double bed. I sometimes rent the guest room to friends of friends travelling to the village so it's possible that if I get the opportunity to do that during your stay, I might ask you to sleep in the yoga room (on a comfortable mattress!).

NON-SMOKERS ONLY PLEASE. If you have any questions, let me know!

INTERNET: We have fibre optic, the router is on the ground floor but the signal doesn't reach the top floor where the guest bedroom is.

I am a yoga teacher, although I am not currently practicing. I am also an advocate for births without interventions. I gave birth to Lía at home, in water, almost completely without assistance. I am willing to share my knowledge and experience in this area. When I have time, I love to talk about my experience with consciousness. I also enjoy talking about conscious relating and conscious parenting, the different ways I am raising Lia, trying to be as respectful as possible and giving her a lot of freedom to develop her own spirit and find her way in this world, while also setting boundaries, which she needs to feel safe. Not always an easy task!

COOKING ON YOUR FREE DAYS Preparing food is part of life. You will be one of the family and we will share the house and kitchen tasks. When you have a free day, if you're at home, you still have to cook your own food.

FREE TIME AT HOME Although I don't usually look at "schedules" and count the hours worked and so on but will trust you to keep track; if you are not on "working" hours, if we are all at home, Lía will surely want to be close to you . I hope you enjoy being with her. If you get along very well, I may leave you in charge of her at some point, and this is obviously considered "working hours", but it is not the main intention of your stay. When we go out and about, in general it will not be necessary for you to come, but if we all get along, you will often be invited to accompany us and we will try to show you something interesting. Sometimes we eat out; If you want to join us, you will normally be expected to pay your way.

A veces comemos fuera; si quieres venir, tu cuenta será generalmente a tu cargo, aunque a veces te invitaré.
