Hi, dear Workawayer!
My name is Lilian and I am an open-minded person who loves to travel, hike, read and paint. I have a little daughter (Jeanna, born in 2021) who is a cheerful, curious and active child.
I am German but since 2006 I live in Bilbao, Northern Spain. I came here to work as an elementary school teacher for a couple of years and finally stayed. During the last years I worked as a teacher, I travelled around Spain, to India, Iceland and Egypt. I also studied arts, graduated with a master´s degree in painting and opened a little studio.
2021 I could welcome my precious daughter who, as life goes, finally raise as a single mom. So, I would love to have some help with tasks of every day life like going to the grocery, household chores and spending some time with Jeanna. If you could talk to her in Spanish or German that would be great. It wouldn´t be hard work and the cleaning would be a shared task like in a shared flat. It would be also great if you liked to travel with us and/or go on short trips since I am on maternal leave right now and it would be great to seize the opportunity.
You would have your own room with a double bed. The bathroom and kitchen are shared. Bilbao is a great, interesting city with nice museums, bars and parks. You can reach the center easily by foot and also the surrounding mountains if you like hiking. The beaches aren´t far away neither and can be reached by metro.

Bilbao is situated in the basque country, so you will not just meet people talking Spanish but also Basque. It is an interesting culture with its own language, folk dance, sports and traditional costumes.

Help
-spending time with Jeanna, that means playing, reading, singing, dancing (she loves music)...
-helping with the every day life, like going to the supermarket with us, sharing the cleaning task of the flat, cooking...
-4 to 5 hours each day from Monday to Friday. But it could be that I need less help one day and a little more another day. That would be a question of agreement.
It turned out that most tasks need to be done in the morning until lunch (13:00/14:00). And in the evening, before going to bed, Jeanna sometimes likes to visit the person who is staying with us.

What else ...
Bilbao is a wonderful city, close to nice beaches, to the mountains and not far away from the Pyrenees and France. During the winter time you can also reach good skiing resorts in a couple of hours.
There is the Guggenheim with great exhibitions and some other nice museums. I can give you a lot of sightseeing ideas if you would like to.
The city can be reached easily by foot and there are also good bus and metro services close. If you are a hiker, nice hiking trails are near and the "Camino de Santiago del Norte" runs past the house.
