HOUSE/CAT SITTING
Update to the profile as I have found sitters for February and March
Hi Workawayers, I am looking for cat lovers for June 2026. as my partner and I are travelling to Italy. We live in the centre of Arcos de la Frontera, one of the white villages of Southern Spain. Although inland, Arcos boasts a reservoir and beach so you do get the best of both the countryside and the coast. Arcos is set on a mountain so it would be better for volunteers who don't have mobility issues. The town has a beautiful historic heart with view spots and lovely bars and restaurants that are open all year round.

I am an ex-pat here so not really involved in local culture, but I am happy to provide some excursions to the local areas when I am here and can advise you how to get about when I am not. The local community is very Spanish but very used to tourists so have endless patience. Due to the location of the house, all amenities are within walking distance, so no car is needed. There is a decent bus service to Jerez de la Frontera or Cadiz where you can connect with the train station from which you can access most of Spain.
Help
I need cat lovers as I have a gang of 6 cats - all neutered and house trained. They need feeding 3 times a day- litter trays cleaned and oddles of play and cuddles.
If you would like to stay for the month to cover both scheduled holidays, maybe you could help me with some basic household tasks - some painting, clearing out the caves and some minor repairs - but only when I am home and here to help you. I am a remote worker so really happy to host a digital nomad who works long hours - will be great to have the company!

Accommodation
I have plenty of bedrooms so I can host an individual or couple or family. You will have your own room with a lock and furniture for your clothes etc. There is a shower room on the ground floor or a bathroom - with a fullsize bath on the first floor. I will provide food for those who stay for the full month bit you are free to raid the freezer, fridge and pantry if you are house sitting while I am away.

Getting to Arcos - Nearest airport is Jerez Airport - I can meet you from the plane. Alternatively Seville airport and catch the train to Jerez.

This would suit digital nomads. Only the cats to care for - great internet and plenty of dedicated spaces for working online.
Space for parking camper vans
There is some free parking in Arcos - although there is a staircase to climb to get up to the house and town, but good to know it is available if you need it.
