  • Description

Hi All, I just finished a 1 year horticulture course and im in the early stages of setting up a garden with a long term plan to build an eco village kinda thing. I just got my first polytunnel (hoophouse) erected this week (20/9/19). Going into the winter now there wont be as much crops to grow so I will be building as many raised beds as possible. Some beds are actually waist high as im planning for the future to make things easier so they take some time to fill. Im also making cold frames, planting trees and reclaiming pallets and old windows to build glasshouse type structures as I live in a windy area. My long term plan is to build an eco village so if this type of philosophy interests you please send me a message.

Also interested in Art orientated people as we have many walls we would like painted with murals. Even if you are a beginner, this would be suitable for practice as there is much to paint. Sculptures are desirable also but I have no ideas currently so would need suggestions for a plan with that.

There is many different types of jobs so I will do my best to put you in your favorite position.

Ive just got the job of Organizing our communities annual Star Wars festival at the start of May so If you would like to help with that then send a request. Star wars was filmed here a few years ago so thats why we have the festival.

There's a bit of history here from both the world wars and other old buildings and forts nearby which is interesting. I'm an easy going person and love to host people so I will do my best to make your stay as great and fun as I can. The area is very scenic so your downtime should be enjoyable. As ive said ive just completed an intense 1 year course so I have knowledge to share from that.

Building raised beds, gathering seaweed, creating things from a very wide range of reclaimed materials. I need creative people with decent building skills.

I will do my best with what my work allows to take you around places further away but there is much to see nearby that can entertain you for a few weeks if you like hill walking and seeing beautiful scenery.

I will always try to have another person staying so you have each others company. The house is big enough to fit a good few comfortably.
