    Description

Steve and I moved to Ireland in 2018 now live in a tranquil and beautiful area of West Cork. Mostly, it's just the 2 of us but we've also a rental property and our grown-up kids holiday with us at various times of the year.

We work locally. Our dog, Harley, is a very friendly border collie who is nice and quiet. Bring a bike or car as it’s an hour walk into Bantry. Depending on the weather we can take you on walks and kayaking.

I’m starting an educational project to empower women. Ive a good idea of what I want from a website and I’m looking for someone to create the basic first few pages, something I can build on going forward. This is a not for profit interest aimed at older women.

We’re happy to share our free time and kayaks on down-time and show you some great walks and places to get out on the water. If you’re hoping to improve language skills, we’ll help improve your conversational English.

We’re in a quiet rural area. The walks here are beautiful. Ideally you’d have a car but there’s a cycle available to borrow and Bantry town is just 7km away. If you’re feeling brave you can even join us for sea swimming.

The cottage has guest bedrooms where you would stay free of charge. We would cook for you and we’d eat together unless you prefer otherwise. There is a shared sitting room with TV (not available in the bedrooms). WiFi is available and relied on for comms as mobile coverage is sporadic. There’s a fabulous patio with views into the valley.

Peace and quiet of the area makes reading a lovely pastime. There's cycling and walking, too, of course. Although lifts to town are available (and back on some days) where there are pubs and restaurants. This is not the choice for you if you're a party animal!

A more mature workawayer would be appreciated.
