*We are looking for SPRING-SUMMER help! A one-month stay is preferred (minimum two weeks).
Help needed: babysitting, daily house and garden management.
English or French native speakers preferred for language practice/teaching.*

    Where do we live?
We live in a beautiful green valley among the hills, very close to the city of Turin (Torino). Our home is just a 30-minute drive from the city center. Turin is the capital of Piedmont in northwestern Italy—a beautiful, quiet city with plenty of things to see and do!
The closest town to our home is Gassino, which is about a 3-minute drive or a 10-minute bike ride away. Our home is part of a historic country villa, recently restored and divided into apartments.
Just beside the villa, there is a horse ranch, and within a two-minute walk, you can find a restaurant and a bakery/grocery store.
The house is fully livable, very comfortable, and quite spacious + a private garden. There’s a guest room available for Workawayers. There is also a swimming pool and a tennis court, shared with our neighbors. The villa was once a monastery, so there is also a small private chapel, shared with our neighbors as well, which is always open to pray.

    Our story
We grew up in the city of Turin, but after getting married, we chose to move to the countryside. We ran a B&B in the Langhe area for seven years in a large stone country house. It was a wonderful experience and we hosted over 20 Workawayers from all over the world there, creating many great memories together! Meanwhile we became parents twice and started a new online job. At the moment, we are focusing on our growing family and work. So we decided to sell our B&B and move back closer to the city while still being surrounded by nature. We moved into our new home on February 2025.

What can you expect and help needed?

    • A warm, welcoming environment where you’ll feel like part of the family
    • A flexible schedule based on tasks rather than strict work hours
    • Help with organizing your free time (we can offer lifts by car when we go out)
    • A bike for your use
    • A guest bedroom for your use

We moved into our new home at the end of February 2025, so there are still some boxes around, and we need help tidying up and organizing space. We need help with house cleaning and maintenance, small DIY projects, gardening, and babysitting our two little girls when they are at home from school. We like to involve you in family life and consider you like an older sibling! :) We really want you to feel at home, not as if you are "at work." Since we are still settling into our new home and creating daily routines, we don't have a strict work schedule. Our experience with Workawayers since 2018 has taught us that clear expectations and good communication are key for both parties. So we do not have an exact amount of work hours per day or strict time table, but it goes more by tasks. We can help organize your free time and offer lifts by car when we go out. You can have a bike as well. Sundays are usually full days off, but we can arrange this together.

    Meet our family:

I am Ludovica! I love traveling and cultural exchanges. I have a degree in Languages and Cultures (focusing on English-speaking countries and Japan). I love Italian traditions, cooking, embroidery, sewing, and all kinds of creative activities. We can make homemade pasta or gnocchi together and much more!

My husband Giorgio is a teacher, historian, and freelance journalist. He mostly works from home but occasionally travels for lectures. He runs a successful Italian history YouTube channel.

We also manage an online start-up that supports homeschooling Italian families by providing educational assistance. This project is growing quickly, so we are quite busy with it at the moment.

Margherita is a bright, energetic, and intelligent little girl. She attends kindergarten on weekdays and will start elementary school in September 2025.

Clotilde is a sweet, independent, and always-smiling little girl. She goes to kindergarten three days a week.
We have a black cat named Luna—she stays indoors in the winter, but mainly lives outside during the summer.

Last but not least, we are Catholic. This means we attend Mass on Sundays and appreciate spirituality. There is much more to share if you are interested!

We can’t wait to welcome you into our family and share this adventure together!
