    Description

I'm Blake, a Brit living off-grid on a mountain property in the Colombian Andes. I spent years searching for the right land, built this homestead from the ground up, and this place is everything I hoped it would be. Mountains, nature, clean air, and real life.
The property is located 2 hours south of Medellin.

I'm opening the door to people who have a skill, talent, or gift they'd like to offer and want somewhere meaningful to land for a while in exchange.

What you'd get is your own private room and bathroom, home cooked meals from someone who used to cook professionally for private clients, and access to real nature, mountain adventures, and a slower, more intentional way of living.

What I'm looking for is people who have something to contribute, whether that's building, art, music, gardening, healing, filming, cooking, languages, whatever your thing is. If you feel drawn to offer it in a place like this, I'd love to hear from you.

Send me a message and tell me who you are and what you'd bring.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Colombia has a depth to it that most people never get to touch as a tourist. Living on the land here, embedded in a Spanish speaking mountain community, you get close to something real. The people, the wisdom, the relationship with nature, the pace of life. It gets into you.
I've lived a lot of life before landing here. Private chef, world traveler, deep personal healing work, years of studying the human mind and body. I have stories, insights, and perspectives that don't come from books. I share freely around a fire or over a meal.
The land itself is its own teacher. Mountains, cloud forest, birdsong, silence. There's a stillness here that's hard to find anywhere else and most people arrive moving fast and leave moving slower, in the best way.
If you speak Spanish or want to improve it, you'll be immersed. If you want to understand Colombian culture from the inside rather than through a hostel window, this is that. If you just need somewhere to breathe and think clearly for a while, the land provides that too.
    Come curious. Leave different.

  • Help

    Help

Honestly, it depends on who shows up and what they bring. That's kind of the point.
If you're a builder, we might work on the land together. If you're a musician, maybe we make something. If you're into growing food, there's space for that. If you film or create content, there's a whole world here to capture. If you're a healer or a teacher, there's room for that energy too.
Day to day there's always something happening, cooking together, exploring the mountains, maintaining the property, having real conversations. I'm not looking for a worker, I'm looking for someone who wants to genuinely share this life for a while and contribute in a way that's natural to them.
If you have a skill or a gift and you're not sure if it fits, just reach out and tell me about it. I'm open.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

A clean, private bedroom in a brand new house with its own ensuite bathroom. Simple, comfortable, and well kept.
The real selling point is what's outside the window. You'll wake up to mountain views that don't get old, fall asleep under a sky full of stars, and drift off to the sound of nature coming alive around you. Crickets, birds, wind through the trees. No city noise, no traffic, just the land doing its thing.
It's the kind of room that reminds you how good life can actually feel when it's stripped back to what matters.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I don't drink or do drugs, and I keep a pretty clean, intentional lifestyle. If that resonates with you, you'll fit right in. If it doesn't, this probably isn't the right place.
I cook well and I cook often. Meals are a real part of life here, not an afterthought. Expect good food, shared at a table, with good conversation.
My dog Mono is part of the family so if you're not a dog person, worth knowing upfront.
This isn't a hostel and I'm not looking for someone to just clock in and out. The people who will get the most from this are the ones who show up open, present, and genuinely curious about life. If that's you, I think you'll look back on your time here as one of the better decisions you made.
