    Description

Hi there, my husband and I bought an acre in the north Shuswap area and the house has 4 bdrms and 4 bathrooms. We live across the road from one of BC's largest and most popular lakes and tourist destinations. Our community is a small, tight knit area and we look forward to summers filled with sunshine and beach days

The community we live in is very diverse. We are tourist driven so the summer months are filled with different businesses offering everything from outdoor massages to live music. The area is welcoming so if anyone wanted to partake as a guest or as a performer that can be arranged.
I have a pottery studio and would welcome anyone interested in learning as a beginner or keeping up their creative outlet as an experienced potter.
We sometimes have puppies at the property as we also help run a non profit dog rescue.

October 2026 is one of the major salmon run cycles across the road from us. Here is abit more information:
The Adams River salmon run in British Columbia is one of North America's largest Sockeye salmon migrations, taking place in Tsútswecw Provincial Park (formerly Roderick Haig-Brown) Millions of salmon return to spawn every four years, with major, dominant runs occurring in 2026 and 2030, though smaller numbers return annually in October.

We are looking for someone who loves to do yard projects. We have basic weeding as well as some heavier protects. Our walkway needs repair and we have an area in the back that needs cleaning up. We will help with any heavier tasks but I also have a pottery studio and would love someone to keep up on the weeding without my help

Our house is a two story and upstairs we have 3 bedrms and 2 bathrooms. On the main floor is our room and bathroom.
I would provide all the food but expect that our guests would make their own breakfast and lunch may be a picnic style if the day is going to be busy.
We have a fire pit for hot dog roasts, a smoker and bbq for outdoor cooking and a turkey deep fryer for special dinners. We appeal have a cherry tree that is a hit with guests.

    What else ...

We are 7kms off the main hwy and if our guests need a ride around our area we are both retired and will work that out. The community has lots going on via Facebook and would welcome the opportunity to show off the area if we asked. If our guests had their own vehicle they are an hour away from a variety of cities and other beach, lake, river areas in all directions.
The only rules we stick by at home are respect and getting along. My husband and I enjoy company and are very laid back.

A well behaved dog would work. Thru would need to be trained to stay with their owner as we don't have a fenced yard though.
