Description
Hi,I'm Connie.
I live in a quiet, rural area and keep a pretty simple, low-key lifestyle. I’m looking for someone who’d like to stay for a bit and help out with the house and my animals.
I’m friendly and easygoing, but I also really value a calm environment and personal space. Most days are pretty relaxed—taking care of the pets, cooking simple meals, and just keeping things running smoothly. I’d also genuinely love to learn recipes from your culture and hear about what daily life is like where you’re from. One of the nicest parts of being out here is the simple, everyday things—like having your morning coffee on the porch and enjoying the quiet, or sitting out by the fire pit in the evenings. You may also see wildlife like deer, foxes, chipmunks, and rabbits around the property from time to time.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This is more of a real-life, day-to-day kind of cultural exchange. You’d get a feel for a quieter, rural lifestyle and what everyday life looks like outside of a big city.
I keep food simple and mostly gluten-free, and I’m always happy to share meals when it works out.
It’s a relaxed exchange—more about conversation, shared meals, and learning from each other naturally.
Help
Most of the help revolves around my pets and keeping the house running smoothly. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats, so daily things like feeding them, letting the dogs out, and spending a little time with them are important.
Because of a back issue, I could also use some help with light everyday tasks like tidying up, simple cooking, or organizing. Nothing heavy or physically demanding—just normal day-to-day help.

Accommodation
You’ll have your own private bedroom and bathroom, plus WiFi. The house is comfortable and lived-in—more about feeling relaxed than anything fancy.
With the pets, there’s usually a bit of activity (a dog nearby or a cat finding a sunny spot), but overall it’s a calm, homey environment. You’ll have your own space to unwind, and shared areas like the kitchen are open for you to use.
What else ...
I’m about an hour from Athens and around 2.5 hours from Atlanta, so it is pretty rural out here. Having your own car helps a lot. I’m okay with occasional use of mine for quick errands as long as you’re a careful driver—we can talk that through.
As far as personality, I’m friendly but not overly social all the time. I don’t expect you to entertain me, and I respect your space as well. This usually works best for someone who is independent and comfortable in a quieter environment.
One small thing—when you message, please tell me a little about your experience with animals and what your daily routine usually looks like. It really helps me see if it’s a good fit.
I’m looking for someone kind, respectful, and reliable who will treat my home and animals with care. If this sounds like your kind of place, feel free to reach out and we can set up a quick video chat to see if it feels like a good fit for both of us.
Looking forward to connecting!

My animals / pets
Mr. Peepers
Peepers is my soul cat. He is 19 and the sweetest, most loving boy. He gives hugs and just wants to lay in your lap and purr.
Pip
Pip is scared of everything. He takes a long time to trust, except when its feeding time. He loves food.
Chase
Chase is my Granddog. He is visiting while his mom and human brother travel.
Chase is the quiet one. Very sensitive and loves to sunbathe.
