We are a couple of geographers with children and friends who do not live on the property; but we live nearby. We also work with tourism and education. The retreat surf center is nestled in the on a small property, within an Atlantic Agroforest area, 90 meters hike to the beautiful 'Vermelha do Centro' beach, encrusted in a montain between the emerald green open ocean and the bay of downtown Ubatuba, in a strategic location in the North Shore of São Paulo - between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo - in the south-east of Brazil. The space has places of peace and beauty, lodging, to share your experiences with us and help us to create a self-sustaining space that respects nature. It is situated on the edge of the Atlantic Forest near the sea and close to the city center of Ubatuba, amidst the mountains and the green of nature and tourist places, with access to quality surf and plenty of facilities to relax and recover.

There are different tasks and experiences throughout the year integrated into the manual and physical activities with the earth (planting and care of plants of the agroforestry and nursery of seedlings, gardening), and usually have some kind of bioconstruction project on the go, so those with carpentry, building rainwater gardens, plumbing, electrical skills, use of chainsaw, etc are always welcome. We hope to receive people with experiences in these areas, but in general we just need help with cleaning space and activities that may arise and that are necessary for the smooth running of the property - we also receive guest. We are open to new projects and ideas to reconcile permaculture and agro-ecological activities with the potential of tourism of the region and can thus further expand the focus given to these activities - new situations to create tourism in the low season and to organize the concentrated arrival of seasonal tourists. We can receive volunteers all year round; the volunteering hours are short (4 hours during the day, with 1 or 2 day-off per week).
