Located in the middle of a tropical paradise, in a valley surrounded by hills, is our place. Founded in 1994, as a non-profit initiative, the project protects the Rainforest and promotes environmental education.
Welcome to Mata Atlantica 500 years ago when the Portuguese first arrived in this region, a colossal forest extended along the Brazilian coast. 12% of Brazil was covered by this wonderful forest. Here you will still find a primary forest, with unforgettable places. Every effort we are making to preserve this forest can only bring benefits to all of us. Help to preserve this nature, because with common sense and wisdom we will have a chance to preserve something of its old splendor. Preserving the Atlantic Forest we will ensure the survival of many animals that are threatened with extinction.
“It is not a natural park, but a way to enjoy nature in its natural habitat” – this is the motto of our place. Believing that an orderly ecotourism can only contribute economically to the preservation of the nature, we aim at a balanced tourism activity that can raise the awareness of the environmental protection among guests and visitors.
In this unique facility, carefully integrated with the environment, guests from all over the world can experience the impressive power of nature. Our place consists of a main building with a restaurant and a welcoming terrace and veranda among tropical plants. Cozy wooden bungalows, a large swimming pool, a sauna, a table tennis and billiard tables are available for the guests to enjoy after the hikes. From the lookout tower, guests can experience spectacular views of the forest and hills. Combine relaxation and recreation with an improvement of your ecological knowledge!

All volunteers and our international tourists are an important asset to the regional integration: they can experience the Rainforest ecosystem up close and at the same time they show to the local population that one can make a living other than by destroying their own environment. The satisfaction of the guests and the strengthening of the regional economy should go hand in hand with the protection of nature and the improvement of the quality of life of the local people. The goal is a lasting relationship between a small village in Brazil and a successful project to protect the Rainforest.
This is what the volunteers could expect at our place:
Dealing with guests issues at the reception, guidance on our jungle tours, translating for our international guests, Help with our eco projects (afforestation, birdwatching, environmental education etc,). In general… from garden maintenance, to assisting anyone who needs assistance, whether it would be at the laboratory, reception, housekeeping, etc.
We are looking for ecologically interested people who want to help us to empower the engagement for the preservation of our nature and environment. In the best case you are already working in this field or have studied related topics.
