💚🌿 Hi dear future friend and volunteer, 💚 🌿

🌱 Do you want to help with TREE PLANTING in ZAMBIA? 🌱 🌳

Are you looking for a once in a lifetime experience to live locally and connect with locals and with nature?

Look no further! We are a small grassroots NGO fighting climate change in our own subtle and gentle way!

My name is Lloyd, and together with my wife Charity and my friends, I am on a mission to improve and expand the knowledge of our Eco project. Our NGO was founded back in 2014 and has attracted many international volunteers over the years. This have led to the buying of our own piece of land, where we plant indigenous trees and fruit trees - and we would love to invite you to join our green adventure. We live sustainable and thrive to educate the communities about tree planting, organic farming, climate change and more so.

    LATEST NEWS 🌿
In January 2026, we planted 160 trees together with local and international youth and installed a brand new solar water pump at the land. After covid our project faced a lot of challenges due to finances and our water pump breaking down - but now we are back on and ready for green abundance and hard work. We have another tree planting event coming up in May. We also need help in the garden to start planting and repairing the fence - so bring your permaculture knowledge and let's exchange some experience. Or bring your curiosity - and the rest will sort itself!

The land is a place of complete peace. It's a place for your nervous system to relax and your soul to connect with Mother Earth. A place for mutual exchange and inspiration. A place to dig your hands into the red soil and withness the magic of growth.
If you love to help make a dirrence in the world - or if you just like stargazing over a bonfire to the sound of absolute silence or indulged in a long, deep conversation - then this the place for you! And we will be excited to welcome you and get to know you, dear future friend. 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

Livingstone itself is full of opportunities, as listed below.

You will hopefully pick up on some of the local language of Chinyanja, Chitonga, Chitokaleya.

  • Help

    Help

We like to host people and allow them to engage in the work they prefer or feel for. The amount of hours are not what counts, it is the interaction and exchange. So bring yourself and all your beautiful ideas. Here are some areas, you can help in:

    ✅ TREE PLANTING
Help with our main mission; Help us plant more trees and create events for the local youth to take part in.
Next event is in May, but more might pop up.
Engage in educating the local community about the importance of an eco-friendly environment.

    ✅ THE GARDEN
Planting and preparing. Make your own magic and bring your own ideas to combine with ours. Also, we could use the help of volunteers who have knowledge on best water management solutions in agriculture, also knowledgable in crop management.

    ✅ FUTURE COLABORATIONS
Help strengthen our local collaborations and expand on future partners. Help get our BnB started - or help with our Social Media platforms, while you are around. Or bring a good funding idea to the project.

    ✅ ANIMALS
We want to rebuild our goat- and chicken house and buy some new animals. Something you'd like to help with?

    ✅ PLANT NURSERY
We are about to start our own plant nursery. So if you love tree seedlings and have the heart of a true plant-mom, please join!

    ✅ PREE SCHOOL
We have also a small preschool placed in Maramba, Livingstone, and you are more than welcome to interact with the children, play and educate them on climate change.

    ✅ BUILDING
Eco brick building - interested in making your own local mud bricks and learn about a sustainable way of building?
Currently, we have three huts, and we are planning to build a bigger open hut, that can be used for our workshops on climate change. On long term, we hope also to build our own nature preschool, and move it here, since many of our neighbors' kids have to walk 45 minutes to school each day each way.

    ✅ COOKING
Engage in the making of local food over the fire or charcoal. Learn how to cook the perfect nshima pot or grill the freshly dug cassava root. Or teach us some of your own favorite cusine?

    ✅ HOUSESITTING
From time to time, we like to invite people to come and housesit on their own at the land, to watch over the place and help out a bit while doing so.

Other volunteers have implemented their own ideas to connect the community, maybe you have a secret set of skills that you can teach or an inspiring idea. We will happily provide some time and space to assist you.
