Description
We are a non- profit housing cooperative made up of 6 motivated families whose great adventure began 9 years ago, with a move in June 2021! Our project has rehabilitated an old farmhouse from 1780 to create a home whose main focus is the pooling of resources and spaces. Attalens is located in the Lake Geneva region, close to both the lake and the mountains, in a peaceful and green setting. Here, life is good in our garden, around a fire in the evening, a shared meal in our beautiful kitchen or just by the fireplace. Community and individuality go hand in hand here, according to the wishes and enthusiasm of each person, day by day. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our guest rooms and meeting you!
Nous sommes une coopérative d'habitation, à but non lucratif, composée de 6 familles motivées dont la grande aventure a démarré il y a déjà 9 ans, avec un emménagement en juin 2021 !
Notre projet, à but non lucratif, a permis de réhabiliter une ancienne ferme de 1780 afin de créer un logement dont l'axe majeur est la mise en commun des ressources et des espaces.
Attalens est situé dans la région lémanique, proche autant du lac que des montagnes, dans un écrin de calme et de verdure. Ici, il fait bon vivre dans notre jardin, autour d'un feu le soir, d'un repas commun dans notre belle cuisine ou juste au coin de la cheminée.
Collectivité et individualité font bon ménage chez nous, selon les volontés et les élans de chacun, au jour le jour.
Nous nous réjouissons de vous accueillir dans une de nos chambre d'amis et de vous rencontrer !

Help
The magnificent 6,000 m² garden surrounding our home requires care and maintenance. It is primarily for this gardening activity that we welcome help. Occasionally, guests can participate in small construction or renovation projects.
Le magnifique jardin de 6000m2 qui entoure notre maison demande du soin et de l'entretien.
C'est principalement pour cette activité de jardinage que nous accueillions volontiers de l'aide.
Il y a ponctuellement des petits chantiers de construction ou de rénovation auxquels les hôtes peuvent participer.

Accommodation
We provide one of our guest rooms with a pleasant surface area (approx. 13m2) on the 2nd floor of our house. Bedding is provided as well as bath towels. You will find a trundle bed and a wardrobe for your clothes. Our house operates with dry toilets, except for a wet toilet in the laundry room, where the shower is located which can be used by workawayers (in the basement). The kitchen is shared and freely accessible, as are the workshop and the large garden. Meals will be improvised according to everyone's energy!
Meals will be organised/prepared by us for all those who come to give us a hand on the site. There are enough people to cook for our little group!
Nous mettons à disposition une de nos chambre d'amis d'une surface agréable (env. 13m2) au 2ème étage de notre maison. La literie est fournie ainsi que les linges de bain.
Vous y trouverez un lit gigogne et une armoire pour vos habits.
Notre maison fonctionne avec des toilettes sèches, sauf un WC humide à la buanderie, là où se trouve d'ailleurs la douche qui peut être utilisée par les workawayers (au sous-sol).
La cuisine est commune et libre d'accès ainsi que l'atelier et le grand jardin .
Les repas seront improvisés selon l'énergie de chacun !
Les repas seront organisés/préparés par nos soins pour l'ensemble des personnes venant nous donner un coup de main sur ce chantier. Il y a assez de monde pour cuisiner au sein de notre petite troupe!
What else ...
There are beautiful walks to be done in the region, by the lake in Vevey, Montreux or in the mountains, in Les Paccots. Lausanne, a charming city to visit, is also a 30-minute drive away. A little further (60 min), you will find the idyllic setting of the Pays d'en Haut (Chateau d'Oex), with the Gruyère castle for example. Many bike tours are available to you in our beautiful countryside. If the weather permits, there are multiple activities to do and if not... the thermal baths of Lavey or Charmey are welcoming for the grayer days! With us, everyone is free! Our spartan apartments allow each of us to prioritize family time and then balance it with more convivial moments within the group. Meals are not necessarily taken together. There are 6 or 7 children wandering around, playing on the trampoline, on the swing, or on the merry-go-round... the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. We don't have any pets in the house (for those with allergies).

Lausanne, une charmante ville à visiter également, se trouve à 30 minutes en voiture.
Un peu plus loin (60min) , vous trouverez le cadre idyllique du pays d'en Haut (Chateau d'Oex), avec le château de Gruyère par exemple.
De nombreux tours à vélos s'offrent à vous dans notre belle campagne. Si la météo le permet il y a de multiples activités à effectuer et sinon...les bains thermaux de Lavey ou de Charmey sont accueillants pour les jours plus gris !
Chez nous, chacun est libre!
Nos appartements spartiates permettent à chacun d'entre nous de privilégier des moments en famille puis d'équilibrer avec des moments plus conviviaux au sein du groupe. Les repas ne sont pas forcément pris en commun.
Il y a 6 ou 7 enfants qui vadrouillent, jouent sur le trampoline, sur la balançoire ou au tourniquet.... l'esprit est convivial et décontracté.
Nous n'avons pas d'animaux dans la maison (pour les allergiques).

The office is shared so the workspace must remain pleasant for everyone. Le bureau est partagé donc l'espace de travail doit resté agréable pour tous.

A flat path runs alongside the house on which a camper van can be parked. Un chemin plat longe la maison sur lequel un camping car peut se parquer.
Can possibly accept pets
A nice dog, chickens or other domestic animal but no cat (many are allergic) Un gentil chien, des poules ou autre animal domestique mais pas de chat (plusieurs allergiques)
