    Description

    We are a non profit association based in Alta Langa area, close to Castelletto Uzzone, a small countryside village. We are located 40 km to the Ligurian coast, and 80 km to the Alps. Our area is rural, the school is placed in the woods 20 minutes walk from the nearest village.

    Our organization purposes are:
    - to spread the knowldege of historical, artistic, touristic aspects of our territory
    -to develop turistic activities
    -to create cultural and educational opportunities in order to fight the growing depopulation

    This summer we are going to organize architecture, design and building workshops in order to restore part of an old house, design new spaces and temporary structures and create design projects to communicate the trekking routes that pass through our place

    Help

    In our summer school we do workshops of ancient building techniques with natural traditional materials, design, temporary architecture , graphic design and art print.

    Our students are staying and eating here, living as a community.

    We need your help in:
    -Preparing breakfast in the morning (7-8 AM);
    -Setting the tables (breakfast, lunch and dinner);
    -Once or twice days a week we may organize events in the evening such as cinema, theatre, music, and theme nights, so we would need help with the organization of the events: setting the tables, helping with the decoration, serving the food and putting everything back in place after the event.
    -helping with the organic vegetable garden, and organizing the Cascina.

    -Breakfast is at 7:30-8:30, so you have to get up early.
    -We have lunch at 12.30 and then we take a break after lunch until 2:30 pm.
    -Normally there are 2 workawayers so in the morning you help in general maintenance of the house and in the afternoon you are free to take a break or getting to know the surroundings. In case there is availability on the building site (always depending on the tutor's need) you are invited to participate on our workshops.
    -Public transportation to the village is not available, it is possible to walk there.
    -We need to know in advance when you need to be taken from and to the train station.
