I have done several workaway myself and am sure I can offer workawayers a nice place to stay and something interesting to do/exchange, I always have a lot of things to do.
I currently live in my hometown Whakatāne at my parents home where I grew up which is now largely empty because my siblings have all moved out. My parents are very easy going and lovely people who I'm sure you won't be bothered by, unless they need a bit of help with something. They like to meet travellers and have hosted plenty of couchsurfers.
I am vegetarian but my parents eat some meat, so meat is available occasionally or not and I personally have no problems if you want to eat meat. You can smoke outside no problem but no smoking in the house.
I have a project I am starting up related to live streaming video, I have a lot of work to do here which involves a range of things from setting up equipment or software to filming, editing, marketing and finding sponsorship - amongst many other things! This project is on hold for now but may still require some work.
Another project I have in the early stages is related to gardening using raised planter boxes. Here I am creating a system for growing in planter boxes which can be easily used. This project involves creating the planter box, gathering information around growing plants, creating software to manage the data, accounting and financial projections, marketing, etc, the list just goes on and on.
I am personally quite environmentally minded and in a different way from most. I try to keep focused on the bigger picture and what small things can be done to have the biggest influences on things. If you are interested in sustainability, the future, climate change, economics or sociology I'm sure we'll have some great things to talk about.
When I do workaway I normally stay first one week then maybe stay longer if things are good so I propose that you do the same here. Please do not request to stay more than one month.

I am happy to teach English or if you are a learning French I can help with that. Aside from that the projects I have are very interesting and can teach a range of valuable skills - they could involve meeting people in the community if you like.
I can teach you how to make sourdough bread or play the guitar.
The most important thing for me is to find fluent German speakers to help with my language practise. I don't expect actual teaching sessions, just a bit of conversation from time to time. I also have a couple of projects I'm working on which involve a range of things you can see above.
We have a private room with a double bed. Guitar & Piano. We have an exercise bike and plenty of room to not worry about making noise in the night.
There are a lot of great things to do in the Whakatāne area which you will find out about online but we have beaches, bush walks and various other activities to get involved with depending on what you like.
We have a bicycle here to use and our house is right by the river so you can cycle directly to town. We also have a swimming pool in case it gets too hot.
There are horses in the paddock at the back of the house, if you need your horse fix, but they cannot be ridden, only loved.
