    Description

Hi! We’re Ash and Michael, a friendly couple in our early 30s. Ash is a passionate music teacher, and Michael works as a consultant in the CBD. We’ve just bought our first home and are excited to share it with you as we complete the final stages of our renovation.

Our household includes Dali, our adorable black lab who loves company and playtime. We have a cozy spare room available and are looking for some help with landscaping, dog sitting, and general cleaning. At this stage we are looking for short-term stays a few days to a week or so.

Located just 15 minutes from the CBD, our home is perfectly situated between Birkenhead and Glenfield shops, close to numerous parks, bush walks and beaches, including Takapuna beach. Public transport options abound.

We look forward to welcoming you into our home and sharing this exciting chapter of our lives with you!

    Help

DIY / general renovation skills would be ideal! Some examples are painting, fixing lifted deck planks, building a retaining wall
Landscaping: We need assistance with gardening, planting, and general yard maintenance to help us create a beautiful outdoor space.
Dog Sitting: We would love someone who can take care of Dali, including feeding, walking, and playing with her.
General Cleaning: Helping us with housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and keeping our home tidy. We also have an apartment in the cbd that needs cleaning from time to time.

We offer a cozy, fully furnished bedroom for you to stay in. You will have access to a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living area. Our home also includes a bit of land next door, which requires some landscaping work.

During your time off, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in Hillcrest and the surrounding areas. You can explore the nearby parks, take leisurely walks, or visit the local markets. If you enjoy music, you might want to check out some gigs or live performances in the area. For those who love the outdoors, there are many beautiful walks and trails to discover with our dog, Dali. Additionally, the shops at Birkenhead and Glenfield are great for a bit of retail therapy.

We have excellent public transport options, making it easy to get around. Buses are frequent, and there are convenient routes to the CBD and other parts of Auckland. We also provide a bike that you can use to explore the local area. If you need to travel further, our van is available for occasional use.

Here are a few house rules to ensure everyone has a comfortable stay:

-Be gentle and kind to Dali, our black lab, and help with her care as needed.
-Respect the shared kitchen, bathroom, and living areas, and clean up after yourself.

We both work full time. Michael usually works from home and will be available between meetings to answer any questions. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and able to manage themselves for the most part. We will help as much as we can outside of our working hours and would love to socialise with you on weekends and show you around. :)
