  • Description

    Description

We are Corinna and Benedikt, living off-grid in the quiet, gentle mountain landscape of Tuscany, near Arezzo. Our life here is simple, intentional, and deeply connected to nature. We are vegan cooks, passionate gardeners, and lovers of a slower, more conscious way of living — far away from the noise of modern civilization. We bake our own bread in a wood-fired oven, harvest from our vegetable and fruit gardens, and spend our days creating, building, and caring for this place that we call home.

At the moment, we are in an important phase of shaping and refining our little paradise — and this is where you come in. We are currently looking exclusively for experienced woodworkers. If you are a skilled carpenter or joiner with real, hands-on experience in working with wood — building furniture, small structures, or wooden interiors — we would love to hear from you.

While Workaway is usually based on exchange, we are open to adapting this in special cases. If you bring strong skills, real experience, and create meaningful value through your work, we deeply appreciate that — and we are happy to find a fair and respectful way to give something back in return.

    What you’ll find here:

You will stay in a small guest house with your own privacy, surrounded by nature. There is also a natural swimming pond to cool off during warm days. We love sharing what we know — from vegan cooking and fermentation to self-sufficiency, off-grid systems, and digital work. But more than that, this place offers space: to focus, to create, to reconnect with what truly matters.

If this resonates with you, we would love to meet you online first and see if it feels right for everyone. Looking forward to creating something beautiful together.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying with us is more than just an exchange of work — it’s an invitation to be part of creating a place with a deeper purpose. Together, we are shaping a retreat that brings people back into the present moment and reconnects them with nature and themselves.

Along the way, you can learn a wide range of skills and perspectives: from vegan cooking and fermentation to off-grid living, self-sufficiency, and working with natural systems. We also share insights into meditation, awareness, and a slower, more intentional way of life.

But beyond all practical knowledge, the true value lies in the experience itself — living close to nature, finding clarity, and stepping out of the rush of modern life. We are an open, grounded, and easygoing couple who truly enjoy meaningful human connection, shared moments, and creating a life that feels rich, calm, and alive.

  • Help

    Help

Most of the help we are looking for revolves around working with wood and bringing beautiful, functional ideas to life. We are currently building an outdoor shower and compost toilet, planning a wooden workshop, and dreaming of a small sauna. There are also many smaller projects waiting — tables, benches, and thoughtful details that make this place feel warm and alive. If you enjoy creating with your hands and shaping natural materials into something lasting, you will find plenty of meaningful work here.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will stay in a beautiful, fully independent guest house spread over two floors, with its own kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. The space is thoughtfully designed and of a high standard, offering comfort, privacy, and a true sense of retreat. You’ll have your own terrace and garden — a peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the surrounding nature. We usually rent this house at a premium rate, but for the right person who brings valuable skills and supports us in a meaningful way, it’s our way of giving something truly special back.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your free time, you’ll find yourself surrounded by untouched nature. Our home is set in a truly peaceful and wild landscape, where you can go for long walks without meeting anyone, breathe in the scents of the forest, and experience unforgettable sunsets. Within our fenced land, there are many beautiful spots to relax — by the natural swimming pond, in the shade of trees, or around a small fire under the open sky.

We often gather wild herbs, fruits, and other gifts of nature, and you’re very welcome to join and learn along the way. From time to time, we also visit nearby villages or friends in the area — a small, inspiring community of like-minded people. If you feel like exploring further, you can visit charming towns like Anghiari, Arezzo, Perugia, or even Florence — all within reach and full of history, culture, and beauty. This region of Tuscany is truly something special, and simply being here is already a gift.
