Description
Join us on our 7 acre rural property in the Black Forest (South-West of Germany). You get to live in a 250 year-old original farm house in the middle of nature and participate in the good life: gardening, harvesting, processing, and enjoying the fruits of our labors. This is not a commercial farm - we grow and process fruits and vegetables for our own use.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a German / American family and have spent many years living abroad - we enjoy hosting folks from other countries and learning about their culture.
We love to grow our own vegetables and maintain a 2 acre orchard. There is a wood-fired bread baking oven and always an interesting variety of projects to tackle on our 7 acre homestead.
Naturally there will be time and opportunity to explore the area and its people too.Help
Flexible based on your skills and interest - most of all we value enthusiasm, positive attitude, and desire to learn and participate in our day to day chores.

You will be staying in a guest room in our farmhouse and be part of the family. We cook and eat together - good, nutritious and sustainable food is important to us. We are vegetarians, but you don't have to be.
What else ...
We are in a rural location, but there is good train service in the next town (15km away) for weekend excursions to places further away. We can offer limited ride-alongs to town. This is definitely more suitable for somebody who enjoys nature and country living.
