    Description

Hi! We are a young family of 4, on a hobby farm of 114 acres. We have horses, sheep, chickens, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We use the horses for trail riding, as well as training a couple young ones.

We will begin lambing out our current 9 Ewes at the end of March. In May we get 20 turkey poults which we raise over the course of summer. Our extended family lives 5 minutes down the road and they raise beef cows. Calving there begins mid April, with the cows coming up here to graze for a few weeks in June.

We are busy plowing fields and turning pasture back into productive hayfield, as well as some fencing projects.

We plant a garden in spring and try to grow and preserve as much of our own food as we can over the summer into fall.

We have a large extended family in the area and there is always lots happening. Come ride horses, quads, dirt bikes, or join ys at the beautiful lake 10 minutes away.

We have a few carpentry projects we could use an experienced hand with, such as a greenhouse. Send us a message if this would interest you.

    Accommodation

We have a bedroom for you, and a bathroom shared with our young children (6 and 4). You eat meals with us. We grow a lot of our own food, and raise most of our own meat so we know what it’s been fed and that it has had a good life.

There’s a local town to play pickle ball (tuesdays/Thursdays) volleyball (wednesday) and badminton (monday) or go to the local farmers market on Saturday. A city is close by and it can be arranged to use a car to go if you so choose. A beautiful lake for swimming is 5 minutes away. You have use of our quad to drive trails behind our farm, or learn to ride horses.
