Description
Hi! We are a young family of 4, on a hobby farm of 114 acres. We have horses, sheep, chickens, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I plant a garden in spring and we try to grow and preserve as much of our own food as we can.
We have a large extended family in the area and there is always lots happening. Come ride horses, quads, dirt bikes, swim in the beautiful lake 5 minutes away or join us at the main ranch to experience a country style venue where they host weddings in summer.
We have a few carpentry projects we could use a hand with! Send me a message if this would interest you.Types of help and learning opportunities

I am a dual citizen to Switzerland and Canada, my husband is Canadian. I speak Swiss German, German, English, Spanish and some Italian. My parents 5 minutes away host weddings where you can meet people and experience the events. We can teach you about land preparation for farming, as well as animal handling and husbandry practices, gardening. We love learning about other cultures and other peoples lives, travels and families.

Selina was born in Switzerland, and immigrated to Canada at the young age of 3. She was raised trilingual with Swiss, German and English. She was a rotary exchange student in highschool and travelled to Mexico where she learned Spanish. After highschool she returned to Switzerland to work for a year, and added some Italian to her vocabulary. She loves languages and is currently teaching her children to speak Swiss as well.Accommodation
We have a bedroom for you, and a bathroom shared with our young children (4 and 2). You eat meals with us. We grow a lot of our own food, and raise most of our own meat so we know what it’s been fed and that it has had a good life.
What else ...
There’s a local town to play pickle ball, volleyball, badminton or go to the farmers market. A city is close by and it can be arranged to use a car to go if you so choose. A beautiful lake for swimming is 5 minutes away. You have use of our quad to drive trails behind our farm, or learn to ride horses.
