Description
Hi, I’m Ine, a 30-year-old nature-loving soul born in Ghent and now living in the green heart of Waarschoot. I share this little paradise with my cat Peggy, my goose John, and four cheerful chickens. Here by the pond, life flows a little slower, surrounded by trees, fresh air, and the sounds of nature.
I love animals, gardening, cooking with fresh ingredients, reading, yoga, meditation, sharing stories, caring for others, and creating beauty through art and music. I believe in simple joys and meaningful connections.
My dream is to turn this unique place into an open, welcoming space where people can reconnect with nature, slow down, and feel at home. The land holds so much potential, but it also requires care, love, and helping hands. That’s where you might come in.
The property is located just 25 minutes from the center of Ghent. It’s easily accessible by train or bus, or by bike if you’re feeling adventurous! I offer a cozy stay with home-cooked meals, and in return, we can work together in the garden and help shape this place into a warm retreat for everyone.
There’s no fixed plan, I follow the flow and am open to ideas, inspiration, and creativity. If you enjoy working outdoors, sharing good food, and living simply in nature, I would love to welcome you here.

When you’re not helping out, there’s plenty of time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You’re welcome to unwind in the garden, read by the pond, or explore the beautiful nature around Waarschoot. There are lots of scenic walking and cycling routes nearby for nature lovers.
If you’re into mindfulness, we can do yoga and meditation sessions together — I’m happy to guide a short class every day if you’re interested. We can also cook and share meals, using fresh, local ingredients: eggs from my chickens, strawberries from just down the road, milk from nearby farms, and coffee roasted in Eeklo.
For a change of scenery, Ghent is only 25 minutes away; a vibrant student city full of cozy cafés, great restaurants, quirky shops, museums, and nightlife. The Belgian coast is just an hour’s drive away for a refreshing day trip.
You can borrow one of my vehicles to explore: I have cars, an electric folding bike, a motorcycle, and even a charming oldtimer. In the village itself, you’ll find supermarkets, restaurants, a train station, and of course, some classic Belgian “frietkoten” for a proper local experience.
There’s always something to discover. Or not, if you prefer just to slow down and breathe.Help
I’m looking for some friendly and easy-going people who enjoy giving a hand with different things around the place. Life here is quite relaxed and the activities really depend on the season and what needs doing at the time. It could be helping outdoors in the garden, being creative with small projects, lending a hand with the animals, or just keeping things tidy and enjoyable for everyone. Nothing too hard or heavy, mostly it’s about sharing time, learning from each other, and bringing good energy to the house!
I also really appreciate creativity and fresh ideas. For example, there’s an old caravan that could one day be turned into a sauna, I’m following a herbalist course and would love to create a herb garden, and I’m always curious about ways to bring more flowers and beauty into the garden. So if you like experimenting or coming up with new projects, that’s very welcome here!Languages

You’ll have your own private bedroom in my home; a cozy space with a single bed, a desk, and a wardrobe for your things. The bathroom is shared and includes both a shower and a bathtub for when you feel like a relaxing soak. Everything is kept very clean and hygienic, I take great care to make sure the house is always well-maintained and fresh.
The kitchen is fully equipped and shared as well, everything you need to cook is available. We also share the living room, a warm and welcoming space with a TV, bookshelves, a record player, and a little wood stove where we can drink tea in the evenings.
There’s even a creative room you’re welcome to use, with a piano, a sewing machine, and space to explore your artistic side. You can also use the washing machine and dryer during your stay.
For those who prefer sleeping closer to nature, I also have tents and all the gear needed to camp comfortably in the garden, for a peaceful and unique experience under the stars.
It’s a simple, homely place, not luxury, but full of warmth, comfort, and good energy.A little more information
