    Description

We’re based on the island of Brač in Croatia. We have a piece of land with an olive grove that needs clearing and developing. The project is still at an early stage, so most of the work is outdoors, clearing overgrowth, planting trees, and building stone walls. It’s a good chance to spend time outside, learn something new, and help bring the grove back to life. We are approaching this without much experience but with a lot of love and will to create something meaningful.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying on Brač is a chance to experience island life in Croatia. You can learn about olive growing, traditional Dalmatian stonework, and local ways of looking after the land. There’s also time to enjoy the island itself - the sea, small villages, and the slower pace of life here.
The art of Dalmatian dry-stone walling is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative list of Humanity.

  • Help

    Help

Most of the help is outdoors. We need a hand with clearing bushes and grass, planting new olive trees, and helping to build or repair dry stone walls around the terraces. The art of dry stone walling is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative list of Humanity and it will be done with the assistance of one of the hosts. The help is physical but varied, and there’s always something different to do depending on the season and progress on the grove.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your free time there’s plenty to enjoy on Brač. The island is known for its beaches, clear sea, and small historic towns. You can swim, walk, or explore the old stone villages nearby. Supetar and Bol are easy to reach by bus or car, and ferries connect the island to Split on the mainland. It’s a good chance to see both the quieter side of island life and the more lively towns along the coast.
