    Description

I am semi retired and have a large garden set against my rural kiwifruit orchard. I'm not completely organic but like to have a healthy lifestyle and be eco friendly / sustainable. I have a large comfy house with a swimming pool and offer a healthy variety of meals. I'm very social and go out to various functions regularly. I'm also quite involved in community projects which keeps me very busy. I enjoy lots of things in life including music, theatre, outdoor activities and travel. I have been a wwoof host for about 8 years and have enjoyed wwoofers from all around the world.

I love conversation and enjoying meals together as well as fun. I also believe Te Puke is a fabulous place to be based as it has so much to offer within less than an hours drive. I can recommend lots of great bush walks nearby.

  • Help

    Help

Mostly in the garden with maintenance or new projects but I occasionally need help with some housekeeping as I sometimes hold large social functions. I like to keep the work varied so that you enjoy what you do and get satisfaction from a job well done. You'll need to be physically fit and active with a willingness to give things a go.
Your ability to work unsupervised is a great asset although full explanation of each task is always given.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Your own room inside the house with full bathroom. Only need to share if there are other volunteers. All linen and towels provided. Breakfast lunch and dinner included but if you like to snack you'll have to bring your own. I can cater for vegetarians but not vegans and usually prepare all of the meals but enjoy help in the kitchen if you have an interest. Prefer no alcohol or smoking. You're expected to behave as part of family with keeping your own room and common areas clean and tidy. Wifi available. There's no public transport so having your own vehicle would be an advantage.
