    Description

We are a beach lodge based in a small town on the Wild Coast, South Africa, and we’re looking for a young, energetic traveller to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting new people, connects easily with fellow travellers, and can help create a fun, social, and active atmosphere around the lodge.

Our hope is that you’ll enjoy your time with us, become enthusiastic about the lodge and the area, and share that excitement with our guests — from the beach and local adventures to the relaxed travel lifestyle.

    The position includes:
5 hours of work per day
    Accommodation
    Breakfast and dinner
    2 days off every week

Your main focus will be guest interaction, helping guests feel welcome, and socialising with travellers throughout the day to help create a friendly and memorable experience.

We also have beautiful gardens, so green-thumbed travellers are always appreciated. We encourage our volunteers to spend some time assisting at our local soup kitchen, helping prepare food for village children.

If this sounds like you, please send us:

    Your available dates
    A little information about yourself
    Any relevant experience or interests

We’d love to hear from you.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

This place is beautiful. We host many many people from all around the world. We have a large lovely local staff that will welcome you like family. We are a family business that started the lodge way back in the mid nineties, and have lots of knowledge on the history, culture and area that we love to share.

  • Help

    Help

Your role will include helping us create a memorable experience for our guests through daily activities, social interaction, and fostering a warm sense of community and belonging around the lodge.

We also have beautiful gardens that need a little love and care, so if you have green thumbs, we’d really appreciate your help in our jungle gardens, with alien vegetation control, and in our kitchen garden.

We’ve recently opened a new art studio where we host creative workshops and retreats, and we’ll be looking for assistance during these events as well.

As part of the experience, we ask our volunteers to spend a few hours each week helping at the local soup kitchen. If you’re community-minded and enjoy giving back, this will be a meaningful addition to your stay with us.
