Description
Hi, we are a family of 2; mum Louise 53 years & son Owen aged 14 - we love basketball, Mountain biking, surfing, swimming, hiking, bike touring, travel.
We would love 1-2 people who are okay with a short stay to help finish some projects on our new house. We need some help with the downstairs indoor and outdoor area to get our house finsihed; garden help including moving soil & gravel, creating garden terraces, spreading mulch, planting and watering seedlings, creating a soundproof wall, assembling furniture.
We live in an EcoVillage with 200 other houses about 2km from the beach at Port Willunga, close to nature and a large farm , also 500m to shops, cafes live music and bars, 10m to public transport, 40 km from the city of Adelaide, 1 hour bus to Kangaroo Island. We have a 2 storey house, and you will have your own private area downstairs, bikes for your use ( a sofa bed and futon).
The help is at our house and no profitable or paying guests help is required, it is only personal help around our home.
What we offer
- 4 hours help per adult per day in exchange for 2 meals and accommodation
- 5 - 14 days stay, with afew days off so you can enjoy the local area ( provide your own meals these days)
- a beautiful community you can instantly be part of ( dance, art, yoga, meals, gardening, permaculture )
- private bedroom and bathroom
- carport if you want to park your van here
- wifi, bikes, surfboards
- I am working from home so can support you with the work, but not always depending on commitments

Here is a review from some previous guest to our farm
Review from Sonali and Manu of India;
"Our stay with Louise at her organic farmstay was fantastic! My husband and I were travelling from India to South Australia, and needed a place to stay. A friend suggested Louise's place, and all our communication with her, right from the start, felt so comfortable and thoughtful, and she made us feel very welcome. Our stay was really wonderful and a memory we'll cherish for a lifetime. Her home is a very relaxing and well done space. We were happy to help, but as a host, Louise also made all the arrangements to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The home itself is very spacious and we had a bedroom to ourselves. The views are beautiful and you can enjoy peace and quiet on the property. Anyone staying and helping at Louise's farm will surely enjoy their stay."
