UPDATE...im in Teton valley in eastern Idaho until mid Sept and am looking for a single or couple to help out with a few cool projects on an off-grid homestead. I'll be putting up a small grain silo that will be converted into an art studio, building a covered deck on a cabin, cutting firewood for the winter, etc. We will salvage materials at the local dump which is just like treasure hunting! You can stay in another converted grain silo that is very cool. Really good meals provided. Lots of fun living in the woods. Contact me for more info...
This fall,I'm looking for a single person or couple to help me in beautiful Boulder Utah. I am located inside the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument between bryce canyon and capitol reef national parks. I need help building an outdoor kitchen/storage building. You will be staying in a very cool converted school bus that has running water (including hot shower), bed, stove and music powered by a small solar system. I have all the materials (which I salvaged) and have the site work completed for the project. I like to build creative, inspired structures. You will gain construction skills and knowledge on salvaging materials as well as knowledge on homesteading and off-grid living.
The ideal person(s) is not afraid to learn new things, physically fit , does not thrive on drama, speaks reasonable English, and has a sense of humor and adventure. There's amazing hiking and exploring right from the property. I have lived off-grid on this 26 acres for 20 years and have learned many skills that I like to share. The community of boulder is small (200 people), remote (90 miles to closest stoplight) but vibrant and full of colorful, talented characters.
I may also looking for folks throughout the summer on other projects including gardening and small construction projects.

You will be primarily helping me with the construction of a 16'X16' shed that will serve as an 'outdoor' kitchen and storage. You do not need previous construction experience but just be interested in learning
Also, I will be working on moving and converting a small grain silo into an art workspace. Depending on the season, we will need help in the garden.
