  Hello, my name is Luz, and I am 50 years old. My family consists of my three daughters, Daniela, Cynthia, and Sofía, and my four grandchildren, Emiliano, Gabriela, Gaddiel, and Elian. I have lived in Neiva, Huila, since 2007. My friend Yaneth Fuentes and I, whom I have known since our youth, joined together to create the foundation, which aims to provide instruction in the arts and English
  
  Hola, mi nombre es Luz, tengo 50 años. Mi familia está compuesta por mis 3 hijas Daniela, Cynthia y Sofía y mis 4 nietos Emiliano, Gabriela, Gaddiel y Elian.
  Vivo en Neiva Huila desde el año 2007.
  Mi amiga Yaneth Fuentes y yo, que nos conocemos desde la juventud nos unimos para crear la fundación que tiene como objetivo impartir enseñanza en artes y el idioma ingles.

  Workaway volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with our family, sharing wonderful moments. Neiva is a city with a culture deeply rooted in folklore and cuisine. In June, the city hosts a renowned festival known as the National Bambuco Pageant. Traditional dishes from Neiva include tamales, lechona (roasted suckling pig), Huila-style barbecue, and a type of bread called bizcocho de achiras. Of course, the best coffee in Colombia is produced in the Huila department.
  
  Los voluntarios de Workaway tendrán la oportunidad de conectar con nuestra familia compartiendo maravillosos momentos.
  Neiva es una ciudad con una cultura bastante marcada por el el folclor y las comidas.
  En esta ciudad se celebra en el mes de junio un festival reconocido como el reinado nacional del Bambuco.
  Las comidas tradicionales de esta ciudad son: el tamal, la lechona, el asado huilense y un pan llamado bizcocho de achiras; por supuesto en este departamento del Huila se produce el mejor café de Colombia.

  Help

  The main task of our volunteers is to teach English to children, teenagers, and adults in a dynamic, engaging, and friendly way. They help our students improve their speaking, listening, and pronunciation skills, and gain confidence in communicating in English. Volunteers may lead conversation classes, support vocabulary and pronunciation activities, create educational and interactive games, share their culture, and motivate students to practice English in real-life situations.
  
  La principal labor de nuestros voluntarios es la enseñanza del idioma inglés a niños, jóvenes y adultos de una manera dinámica, participativa y amigable. Ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a mejorar su capacidad de hablar, escuchar, pronunciar correctamente y ganar confianza al comunicarse en inglés.
  
  Los voluntarios podrán dirigir clases conversacionales, apoyar actividades de vocabulario y pronunciación, crear juegos didácticos e interactivos, compartir su cultura y motivar a los estudiantes a practicar el inglés en situaciones reales.

  Accommodation

  The house where we will be hosting our guests has a private room with an ensuite bathroom, furnished with a large, comfortable bed. The house boasts spacious green areas and access to a swimming pool located just 5 minutes away by motorbike (we can provide transportation) or a 15-minute walk. We offer two meals a day.
  
  La casa donde vamos a recibir nuestros visitantes dispone para ellos de una habitación independiente con baño privado, equipada con una cama amplia y cómoda. La casa cuenta con amplias zonas verdes y acceso a una piscina ubicada a solo 5 minutos en moto (podemos transportarlos nosotras) o a 15 minutos caminando. Ofrecemos 2 comidas diarias.

  What else ...

  During their free time, volunteers can explore beautiful places around Neiva and Huila, such as the Tatacoa Desert, the Rivera hot springs, La Mano del Gigante (The Giant's Hand), and San Agustín. They can also enjoy restaurants, viewpoints, cultural activities, and many places where they can savor excellent Colombian coffee. Transportation options in our area include public buses, taxis, motorcycles, and ride-hailing apps, making it easy to get around.
  
  Durante su tiempo libre, los voluntarios pueden explorar hermosos lugares alrededor de Neiva y Huila, como el Desierto de la Tatacoa, las termales de Rivera, La Mano del Gigante y San Agustín. También pueden disfrutar de restaurantes, miradores, actividades culturales y muchos lugares donde podrán tomar café colombiano de excelente calidad. Las opciones de transporte en nuestra zona incluyen buses públicos, taxis, motos y aplicaciones de transporte, lo que facilita movilizarse.
