A truly lovely lady and her wee son – I couldn’t have asked for better pet sitters! They cared for my pet with such kindness, attention, and love. It was clear they treated them like one of their own. Her son was so gentle and sweet – a real natural with animals. I came home to a happy pet and a peaceful home. Highly recommend them both!

We were so lucky to be chosen by Vera to babysit her pets. It was our first Workaway experience and it just could not be better! Vera is the kindest person and ensured that our stay was perfect. Vera showed us around initially, providing many useful tips on where to eat, shop, go, visit, etc. She even arranged a boat trip for us to see the seals and birds and it was an amazing experience. Oreo the cat is a black and white fluffy friend that loves to go outside a lot and when at home, he loves to cuddle with you a lot. Max the border collie is an extraordinary dog. We were a little afraid in the beginning if we could take good care of him, because he is very active, full of energy, and also stubborn from time to time. But after the first days together, when we got used to each other, we became best friends. First few days, Vera's neighbor Paul was walking Max, and we did only the evening walks, but after Paul got ill, we did all the walks and enjoyed them immensely, as we hoped, Max did too. He certainly looked like he was enjoying himself very much every time, we went outside with him. Vera explained everything before her departure, so we knew how to get to the nearest town and what we had to do every day. But all we had to do was enjoy our 3 dream weeks in Scotland and take care of two lovely animals. We stayed with Vera and her family and had the best time. Like really, the best time. We came a few days before they left for their holiday and got to spend some time together. The whole little family, Carlos, Pedro and Vera is great ppl. It was our first workaway. And Vera made sure we got the best first experience! She did not even really need
… read more us as she already had a girl to watch the house, dog and cat. But to be kind as we wanted workaway in her area she let us come anyway and share the job with the girl there. It's was all just so kind and generous. She took us around , showing us the good spots and in general just enjoying a good time with us - always taking care of us, being ready to help us out with giving us a ride ect. Always ready, she is the definition of a YES person. Then after introducing us to the animals, Max the border collie and Oreo the cat, and leaving for her family holiday we stayed at her lovely home with the order workwayer. We had such a lovely time. Oreo is just all you can wish for in a cat, easy, fluffy and cozy. Max I might describe as somewhat of a little rebel, but not more than a true dog lover can handle. He needs to get to know you a little , and from the moment he understands that you are the one taking him for walks - he loves you like no other. He is the sweetest shadow to have following around you. So loving and cuddly- full on energy! He is fun! And to be trusted, Vera knows him so well amd explains him so well to us handelers. And the lovely girl we were sharing the work with we also got a great friend in. As we did in Vera. We can't praise her and this whole experience enough. Some tears were even shed on the departure farewell. We just loved it, love them. RECOMEND.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
