Description
Welcome!
We are a small (40-acre) farm with small cattle ( “Lowlines” ), and a guest house.
As of Aug 2018 we are ready and looking forward to our upcoming arrival of our summer guests. We are now accepting reservations for the entire season ending October 2018
This years program will include many interesting educational opportunities, some of which will include land management, animal training, work around the house, work inside the house, business management, resource development.
Spring is the beginning of the year with the arrivals of the new crop of calves. It's a thrill to see a calf been born and taking it's first steps on it's way to the rest of it's life. Work will also include working in the bush to prepare the land for the summer grazing agenda.
As summer turns to fall, our work will include animal care and training. This covers a lot of areas as there is always something to do. Fencing, yard work, bush work as examples.
As we begin autumn there is much to do to get ready and we are looking for people who enjoy being outside and want to stay in a very beautiful area. I can't give away all the secrets of how much there is to do but know that you will enjoy yourself working on the farm The last round up, and to start another year.
The work is not that hard, the food is pretty good, the view is awesome and the people...priceless!
We look forward to welcoming you to our farm and sharing our life with you.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
As there is no notable events happening locally we tour our guests around and share in the wonders of our beautiful area. There is Mabel Lake and Shuswap Falls. We have a local market in Lumby on Saturday and the market in Vernon on Mon and Thur. The next big event is the I.P.E. at the end of Aug. and we will have our animals there and are looking for assistance as this is the time to showcase our Lowlines. What is more fun than going to a fair and seeing the diversity of agriculture in our area.
