Description
I need someone to watch my 4 year old daughter while I work during the day, prefarable a woman (single moms welcome). I also need help with cooking healthy meals, walk my siberian husky and some help around the house. Big plus if you live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy being outdoors. I limit my daughter´s screen time and focus on spending time outside, creating stuff, drawing, baking, playing etc. I prefer someone who can stay at least 1 month (can be discussed). I can host single mothers with maximum of 1 child.
My daughter is a happy, curious and social girl who loves having workawayers here. She speaks english, norwegian and sami.
I’m 34 years old and I teach sami language online. I work from home, so I will always be around if needed while you're watching my daughter.
Note: this is a small town, and most days there’s not much going on here. You have to be independent. Being outgoing is a plus. Getting to know people here can lead to many great authentic experiences you wouldn’t get to experience as a tourist.

What else ...
Karasjok is a small town with 2500 inhabitants and is in the northern most county in Norway. During summer we have the midnight sun and daylight 24/7, while winters are cold and dark with a big chance of seeing the northern lights. We don´t see the sun between end of november and end of january, but we still have some daylight for a couple of hours. Winter is a bit more joyful from end of january when we see the sun again. Between november and february it can be as cold as -30 C, though this winter has been very mild, which is very unusual. Winter is perfect for activities like snowmobile riding, ice fishing, cross country skiing (you can borrow skiis at the local library for free) and dogsledding. During summer you can sunbathe, swim, pick berries, go hiking, paddle down the river with a SUP or kayak, fish etc. We have a river with several beautiful beaches that flows through Karasjok.
I have a Siberian Husky you can take on walks, skiing and hiking. The dog lives inside with us but has a dog yard where he can be a couple hours during the day.
We´re about 4 hours away from North Cape and about 5 hours away from Finland´s biggest ski resort Levi, 1,5 hour from Inari, Finland (Finnish sami town with some nice accommodations and activities), 3 hours from Saariselkä, Finland (there's a small skiresort, restaurants, reindeers, huskies) and 2 hours from Ivalo, Finland. Closest airport is Lakselv (1 h away), Ivalo, Finland (2 h away) and Alta (2,5 h).
You can reach Karasjok by taking a bus from the airport. Make sure you check if there are any buses going to Karasjok before you book your tickets.A little more information
