Description
Hello, I am Néstor and I am living in a traditional chacra breeding cattle and sheep. This includes daily tasks as looking after the sheep and cow herds (sometimes riding a horse) and caring for them (bringing food and water, vaccinating and other tasks). Sowing is done the whole year, fences must be newly built or repaired. I live with seven dogs trained to help me with the herds and I have four cats. I have an organic garden where I want to plant vegetable.

The chacra is situated in Flores, a couple of kilometres from Trinidad. You can easily arrive there by bus and I could pick you up from the bus terminal. During your stay you will get an insight in how life of a uruguayan gaucho really looks like. You can learn anything you are interested in about working with cattle. In your free time you can hang around the chacra, go for a walk or visit nearby places as the small city of Trinidad (there are often animal shows and auctions), or the Ecoparque.

First of all I need help to take care of my animals in the chacra. Sometimes I need to visit my cattle that is further away and won't be there for two days. The dogs and cats need to be fed, and some things around the house be done. Apart from that I am thankful for any help provided that can be with the animals, around the house or the garden. There are always things that have to be done. Initiative much appreciated!
Languages

The chacra is a small rural house. You will have a room on your own and we will share the bathroom and kitchen. There is wifi and hot water. There is also a fireplace to warm up in cold times. If you are travelling by motorhome there is much space to find a spot. Regarding food preferences: I like eating a lot of vegetable and fruit but there is also always meat in the house (including the fridge).
What else ...
