    Description

    Hi,

We are a family of 4, with 2 teenagers aged 17 & 13, we live 10 minutes north of Turangi and 30 mins south of Taupo, on a 1/4 acre section with our friendly cat, dog & 2 chickens.

We would love to offer our cute, warm & cosy caravan (but we can only host a couple or a single person as we only have a small double bed) There is a small kitchenette & dining area with fridge, convection oven, microwave, grill, hot plate, jug & toaster. Both are situated next to a bathroom that has a toilet, shower, washing machine & sink. You may have to share the areas with other travelers as we have campermate & other guests staying.

We are needing some help with gardening, removing scrub & branches, clearing weeds, chopping firewood etc. Please be aware that most of our work will be outside in any weather but we can provide raincoats and gumboots if needed.
If you like cooking then we would love for you to cook some meals for us! (We are meat eaters but we are happy to eat vegetarian meals as well)

We are situated just 2 mins walk from Lake Taupo & the Tauranga-Taupo River in a very private & beautiful setting.

If you would like to stay with us we recommend having your own transport as we are isolated & hitching is quite difficult, we do have a general store, garages & a fish & chips takeaway shop a few minutes walk away.

We are very flexible as to when you do your hours so you can get the most out of your stay here.

You will be provided breakfast / lunch food for you to make yourself in the kitchenette and dinner would be eaten with the family in return for approximately 4 hours per day of help. You will need to make sure you bring some snack food as we are not always home during the days.

We are only 40 mins away from the stunningly beautiful Tongariro Crossing and there are many amazing walks in the National Park and closer to home. You are most welcome use our kayaks too.

We love living in this area and can assist you with seeing the best of what this amazing place has to offer.

Sorry, NO SMOKING anywhere on the property!
