    Description

    We are a picturesque thoroughbred stud near Stunning Kilkenny City. We pre train and train race horses and train and compete event horses and show horses at competitions. Riders come for training here bringing their own horse. We are a family based business with 3 small children. The children ride at competitions at the weekend. We also breed some foals in the spring.

    We are looking for some one who Is a capable rider riding young horses and race horses or capable handling horses and ponies to do stable work.

    Accomodation is provided in my house so you live with the family and meals are provided.
    The minimum wage is paid. Working hours generally 9 to 1pm 2 pm to 5pm. On your day off you can visit Kilkenny city or local attractions.
    College Students also welcome as part of the equine courses. We have had many girls that have enjoyed learning and improving their skills and many girls have come back after going to other places.

    We live near a town called Callan which has everything you need. Then gorgeous Kilkenny City is 10 mins drive away. Lots to do and see which attracts a lot of Tourists.
    You will experience Traveling to competitions around Ireland.

    We are looking for enthusiastic people who like working with horses.
    # Help handling foals and mares on the stud and preparing them for sales. Spring time.
    # Riders who are good on young horses on the gallops or riding in and arena. Lots of Horses to ride if you are capable and ride to a good standard. All year round. You must be a good rider.
    Or just help on the farm doing stable duties, grooming, turning out and bringing in and feeding.

    So either if you just want to work alongside horses learning the stud side of things or helping with the riding side and yard work we have something for you.

    Have small ponies for children so if a keen small rider you can ride them.
    Occasionally help with our 3 young children when things get busy.

    Help at competitions when competing at the shows or events.

    Minimum wage paid with accomodation and food provided. Meals are cooked as a family meal.
