    JUNE 2019 UPDATE
    - WE NEED HELP SEPT 1- 10 setting up for our on farm wedding! setting up, cooking/serving, and cleaning up all along side the party! Cool homestead. work the couple days for the wedding then have some free time for yourself. Be ready to camp because friends and family will take up most of the beds and lots of them will be camping too. Please join us! Thanks, Matt and Krystyna

We are a small group of dedicated idealists pioneering the wilderness of the state of Vermont on our off grid farmstead which is currently being built by hand. We are about six years in to the development of our farmstead, nestled in hillside on abandoned pastureland that has mostly regrown to forest. We are all well educated by the academy, but find ourselves now finally truly engaged in learning about self sufficiency and practical attitudes via real projects with real risks and rewards, often working with our hands.

Our farmstead is nestled down a dirt road within thousands of acres of mostly forested perfection. Easy to get to from Boston, New York City, Montreal.

    Accommodations on the Farmstead:

We now have on site flushing toilets and hot showers!

The ability to charge up your devices

You can get service in a few locations on the property that require a short hike.

Access to the finest ingredients ever and a lot of them are from our field and forest or from the greater community plus the standard international staples. Cooking and clean up is communal. We greatly encourage culinary development and cuisine sharing.

The bunkhouse will be available for the whole summer (Except the week of our wedding) loft sleeping and first floor sleeping. More of a communal rather than private living situation. Camping at one of our established sites is a popular option too.

    2019 PROJECTS and CHORES
Geared towards finishing the house and preparing for our late summer wedding at the homestead.
    - Animal chores (pigs, chickens, turkey, lambs)
    - Mushroom chores
    - Firewood chores
    - Vegetable garden maintenance
    - Local restaurant compost pick up and process/(get a quick ride into town)
    - General construction projects plus siding the house, trim indoors, stoop, high tunnel/hoop tunnel.
    - Preparations for our wedding and working our wedding with small roles.

We have our hands in many projects these days, so any talents could be put to good use. We welcome travelers from near and far, and especially try our best to accommodate any international travelers. See you in Vermont!

We are located right next to the Appalachian trail, the groomed snow trail system (VAST), many fishing holes, amazing hunting and foraging, and refreshing swimming spots (with a bold 25 ft bridge jump!) of the White River. That is all just on our dirt road! To learn more about the Upper Valley and what the Green Mountains and While Mountains have to offer do a little research, there are too many things to list.
