    Description

My wife and I, recently married, Live in a small town and rural Alberta. We have about 120 acres of hay land, and 30 of past year, we have two horses, two cows, two dogs and two cats. The humble beginnings of our Hobby farm. We ride our horses very frequently and are intending on acquiring a couple new horses to train, as well as a few more cattle which are being raised for beef. We have a small greenhouse and a large garden area that with rising food costs, we would like to put to good use this year. Our property has a beautiful River flowing through it that is chocked full of fish as well as a rather large lake nearby with islands and hiking trails all around. Whether you enjoy horseback riding, canoeing, swimming, or hiking, there are places to accommodate all such activities within a 10 minutes drive. We're also situated a mere 2 hours away from Jasper National park, and less than 1 hour away from Edmonton, Alberta, so when the small town living becomes a little too mundane in just 50 minutes you can be at West Edmonton Mall, Riding roller coasters, water slides, or whatever else you might fancy.

First off this is primarily a cultural exchange. As we are not a business, we do not offer a wage. Both my wife and I are employed full-time in the community, that being said we are looking for an individual or couple that can help us with some DIY projects around the farm, take care of the animals, Garden. Maybe help us organize our barn a little bit, as well as put some much-needed miles on our horses. Any skills pertaining to gardening, carpentry or horsemanship would be very well put to use. I also speak and understand Spanish decently and would love to improve my understanding and conversational skills.
