Description
Hi. We are a family of 3, Tom a ndJoy who live in the house and 23 year old son Eli who visits from college in Galway. We live in a large 150 year old Victorian house in Bray which is about 30 minutes by train from Dublin city centre.
Tom is an artist and also works in a centre for people with dementia and Joy works as a manager in a private hospital. Our interests are film, music, painting, reading and socializing with friends. Eli is into Ju jitsu, and music and socializing. We are looking for someone to do a very easy but quite boring job....sanding old paint from the wood in parts of the house. Also if you wish, to take our very friendly dog Lottie for a walk on the beach near our house, (only if you like dogs). Although we are sociable and friendly we work a lot so will not be able to spend a lot of time with our house guest, but you will be welcome to come and go from the house when you like. We are looking for an international guest to stay for 7 to 10 days between June 20th and July 24th, or between August 11th to August 21st. We do Air b n b also so the room is only free for you between these dates. We would like you to do about 4 hours a day in the house (morning or afternoon). We are relaxed about this as we want you to have time to go out and enjoy Ireland also.Types of help and learning opportunities

We are a sociable family and quite relaxed. Being close to Dublin city is great for us or visitors and Bray is in Wicklow County which is called The Garden of Ireland because it is very green and fertile. Wicklow is really beautiful with many places of interest to visit. Also to travel to the West or South or North takes only a couple of hours by car or train and is really good fun and really beautiful also. We are close to great restaurants and pubs too. The Harbour Bar is our local and was voted Best Pub In The World a few years ago by Lonely Planet!! We agree.
Help
We are looking for help with simple decorating tasks around the house. Nothing highly skilled , mainly sanding woodwork, (which can be very boring)!...and to walk our small dog on the beach, but only if you like dogs.
Help with some simple decorating in our old house.Languages

Although we will be working most of the time we are interested in other cultures and languages.Accommodation
We can offer guests a private room with private shower, TV with Nteflix and Amazon. We will cook and provide meals also. Joy is great at cooking and Tom is sometimes successful too, but it's never certain! If guests wish to cook with us that is fine but no pressure. We're pretty relaxed about such things.
What else ...
We are 2 minutes walk from the seafront and Bray Head which has coastal walks to nearby Greystones. A couple of minutes walk from the house there are buses which take about 1 hour to Dublin city and the DART (train) which takes about 30 minutes. This area is great for outdoors people especially as we are close to beautiful countryside and forest walks. We hope the house will be comfortable for guests as we slowly bring it back to it's old beauty.
