    Description

My name is Anya and I am a single mom living near Malaga in the Spanish countryside with my 10 years old daughter Nanuk, my three dogs and a cat. I teach English and Spanish to foreigners, mainly from Poland (I am Polish myself) and I work online from home. I have a big garden with olive and fruit trees, and a vegetable garden. I love all the DIY jobs and have learnt a lot about maintenance since working in the house by myself. I am interested in literature, politics and design. My daughter goes to a Montessori school, as I value a respectful education. We use Spanish, English and Polish at home. We love going for the mountain walks with our dogs, and sometimes go to Malaga for cultural events such as concerts, art galleries, theatre. In the house you would enjoy your private room (separate building with own shower), and a swimming pool, along with garden and nicely decorated patio full of plants. There are plenty of areas around the house to go for walks, but the nearest town with shops is about 30minutes walking, so you would have to have your own means of transport, or count on me (I drive to town at least twice a week). My animals are all females and are extremely friendly and well behaved. However, one of them is mastine and is quite territorial with other dogs coming. I have lived in Spain for over 15 years, and I am passionate about its cuisine and culture. I love cooking; at home we eat vegetarian food and sometimes fish (and seafood),but no other meat.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

a private room with a beautiful views over the Olive Garden, with its own shower and washbasin in a private little building with separate entrance from the patio. It has a double comfortable bed, wardrobe and desk to work at (if you need).
The kitchen and the toilet are in the main house. We can arrange the meal system as I am pretty flexible, and the possibility of own meals for exchange of less hours is most convenient for me.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Please note that I live in the countryside and if you do not have your own means of transport you will have to depend either on your passion about walking in the heat in summer or me and my car (I can take you to town three times a week in the evening, there is Aldi, Lidl, Carefour, mercadona as well as organic shops). I drive to another town almost every morning to take my daughter to the Montessori school, where you can catch a bus to Malaga city. I can also take you sightseeing or to the beach, or for mountain walks at the weekend (Saturday OR Sunday). As for the house rules they are common sense ones: don't smoke tabbaco inside the house (it's south of Spain so its pretty dry everywhere be careful about fire in general), no drugs, no overusing of alcohol and I will politely ask you not to smoke weed in front of my daughter ( I do not smoke at all, don't mind people occasionally smoking, but do not want it to happen around my daughter). My daughter goes to bed around 21.30 so I will ask you not to be too loud after that hour. And no snacks for dogs. They have their hierarchy established which can be questioned by the biggest female when snack offered :) if you are travelling with your pet you are welcome BUT: MUST BE OK WITH CATS, children, and other dogs. I also need to tell you that one of my dogs is a guarding mastine. She is SUPER friendly towards people and children, but needs time and experienced other dog owner to calmly manage the situation with me :) which means no panicking :) and still can mark your dog to establish hierarchy. ...
