    Description

We are a family-run business. We operate a series of holiday cottages and cabins in the beautiful West of Scotland.

There is always work to be done maintaining the cabins. From turning over in between guests to fixing windows or clearing bracken. Most of your jobs will be focused on housekeeping, maintenance, and gardening. A huge amount is outside whatever the weather. Inhouse, we have the skills for plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and engineering jobs BUT always need extra hands in summer. Come along to experience the wildness of the Scottish landscape and its people!

We are a friendly, joyous bunch down for a drink and party.
N.B as above as we are a business paying a wage we can only take on people who have the right to work in the UK

The estate is on the West of Scotland right in the heart of the Ancient kingdom of Dalriada with lots of ancient Neolithic stones and sites all around us. We are right on the sea overlooking the Inner Hebrides islands of Scarba, Jura and Mull. Just down the road is the local village with a pub and Marina full of boats. There is lots to explore for anyone interested in history or who just loves the countryside, walking mountaineering and wildlife abound. The local stables are in the estate centre there is a marina down the road with boat trips and plenty of space for walking and wild swimming. We are a very friendly lot and you will quickly find yourself heading to the pier for a BBQ or bonfire.
The village of Ardfern over the hill has a village hall with a number of activities and often has visiting bands, and plays.

A lot of work will be outside or in sheds, although we do have an office and if there is someone who has some IT skills in networks that is always useful.
Turnarounds days : there will be tunrarounds of cabins and cottages helping to clean and redoe each one more so in the summer months than the shoulders of the seasons.

Most of the work will be outside or in the sheds. Helping keep the cabins running, turnarounds themselves so help cleaning, doing the firewood, coal runs etc plus laundry help with loading and unloading machines and ironing.. Helping with building works on whatever the next project is. Any building skills an advantage. Painting cabin exteriors, and interiors. Mending a broken cupboard door, putting up lightbulbs, cleaning gutters, Gardening such as planting, weeding, mowing, raking and strimming. Helping at the pier for parties, the basic setting up & packing down.

We suit someone with common sense and flexibility as every day can be different. We can't always be there to show you exactly what has to be done so having initiative is an advantage
We will provide accommodation and minimum wage for all hours worked. You need to have the right to work in the Uk and have a NI number etc.
    We do not provide food.
Providing your own transport is essential as we are a 15 minute drive from the nearest town.
