Description
Ciao! We are Britanie and Marco and we live in a little paradise this is an old tuscan estate immersed in the UNESCO protected Val d'Orcia which is surrounded by green forests, olive groves, small medieval village full of history and of naturals hot springs known since ancients times for their healing and therapeutic waters, where you can soak at the end of the day. Over the years, we wish to make this place slowly evolve through active work on the regeneration of the land, we aspire to build something community based. With the help of a local farmer, we will learn the local way of gardening and working with the soil.
A little about us, we are two very good long time friends joining strength into building this project;
Britanie is 27 years old and is from Quebec. She has traveled for 5 years to study and learn about different culture, alternative ways of living, permaculture and traditional medecine: she a certified massage therapist, yoga teacher and permaculture land designer. She a big outdoor lover, a really good story teller but most importantly, she is a pro at having a good time! She really values human connections and community building. She will make sure that everything goes super smoothly and that everyone have a lovely and fun stay.
Marco is 40 and is from Rome, he is a big traveler and deeply values conscious moment. His work experience revolve around hospitality and regenerative development entrepreneur with an international background across hospitality operations and experiential design. He as also previously worked on many retreat and land-based concepts across different countries, while putting a strong focus on nice atmosphere, human experience, beauty and meaningful spaces connected to nature. Alongside the practical development of projects, his path has also been deeply influenced by years of exploration within martial arts, meditation, community living and holistic disciplines.
(We aren't a business, it's more of a personal and community project and all the help will be volunteering based, we won't be able to offer financial compensation to volunteer)
We are happily looking forward to meet you soon!!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
we are lucky enough to have a place that offers a rich learning experience for travelers who are curious and eager to connect deeply with nature and community life.
In return of the presence and help on the land you get daily nourising meals and comfy bed to sleep in. Since we will be working in collaboration with a local farmer, he would be open to give workshops to deepen the understanding of regenerative agriculture, gardening, soil health and ecological land stewardship. We will also be able to give yoga and breathwork session and we will have a massage therapist on site in need. You will have lots of time to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the thermal springs and our lovely pool. We will also plan some day trips to explore the surrounding and occasionally a night out in the city!
Our goals is to make your stay will be both meaningful and memorable. -
Help
The help we would need would mostly consist in gardening, seasonal planting and weeding. The help might be physically demanding depending on our tasks, like for exemple; digging and for creating and clearing walking paths in the forest. We would also need help in the kitchen for our meal creations together. We will do tasks between 4 and 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, based on our tasks and of the weather and you'll have 2 full days off to rest and explore.
