We are so glad and thankful that we got to know this genuine English gentleman ;). Everything worked out so well with him. It was just fun spending time together whether it was sharing allday life together or working on a project. We were able to learn new dishes from him whilst he prepared some delicious meals for us. Conversations led us towards

Participating in our allday life he was very courteous and attentive e.g. noticing children's needs and household necessities. Our children had great fun with him e.g. playing football with him or listening to his guitar play. They learned chess and English from him whilst he was practicing German - all at once. He was very helpful and motivated to play a part in forwarding our projects. If we were occupied he would work self-reliant on everything we asked him for. It was a precious and fun time together. Thank you Jack! Hope to see you soon again!

Amazing! I had a lovely stay in Illmensee. Florian and Sarah were so fun and kind. But they also never gave up in speaking to me in German (although their English is perfect), really trusted me when to the work they wanted done and entertained my interest in the philosophy of psychology and their practice. So all in all a fantastic experience. I

Yet they also let me get involved so much, I felt as though I were part of the family. The kids were also delightful and excellent teachers of German. And this is all not to mention their wonderful home and garden, and the local area (with beautiful running and swimming options). I hope I will return again! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We definitely had a very good time with Bhuvan! He is such a positive, interested and funny guy! We were stunned how natural he took part in our family life. The childeren loved him and felt at ease with him after a short time. We enjoyed every moment we spent together, the conversations during the family meals, working together or the shared

He really is a polyglott speaking several languages. We were surprised by his good level in german. You could tell that he is an open-minded constant learner and explorer interested in language, culture, places and environment. We would welcome him in our house any time. Thank you for your help and the precious encounter!

I have only positive feedack to share regarding my stay with Florian , Sarah and of course their three children. Firstly, Florian and Sarah were both perfect hosts. From day one, I immediately felt part of the family. They made sure I felt comfortable at all times and were always available whenever I needed anything.
I stayed for 10 days in
… read more summer during which I primarily helped with watching over the kids and with general maintenance work in and around the house. By working along with Florian, I learned several things such as operating certain power tools and using a chainsaw. During my off-time, I borrowed their bicycle to discover the small towns and lakes in the area. By the end of my stay, I fell in love with the beautiful sunny landscapes of the country side. Anyone who likes to take some time off from living in big cities and to enjoy some relaxing time with nature and wonderful landscapes, I can strongly recommend this part of Germany.
My expectations for my stay were to practice and listen to German and to discover a bit more the german culture. Both Sarah and Florian put in the effort to only have conversations in German with me regardless of the several moments where I had difficulties in communicating certain things. I have to thank them for motivating me to speak German as much as possible. Playing with the kids were both fun and an opportunity to learn from them as well.
My overall stay with them turned out to be a positive memorable experience. I can highly recommend anyone to join this cheerful family for a Workaway experience. And,if ever given the opportunity, I will surely consider to go pay the family a second visit :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We experienced Julie and Robb as an open-minded and easy going couple very interested in learning about new cultures. They adapted quickly to our family routines and took naturally part in our family life. They were open and flexible to help us with any kind of support we asked them for. Conversations about politics, philosophy and life were

We had a great time staying with Florian and Sarah and their happy little family. Their house is amazing and we had our own space to stay in, and were able to help out on a number of small projects they had for us, as well as daily and weekly household chores.
Their oldest child is 7 and she is learning English very quickly and was excited to get to practice and learn new words from us. We shared a lot of English animal names and weather terms and learned the German names. The two younger boys were happy and playful and always ready to smile and laugh.
Southern Germany is an amazing place, with so much history and beautiful geography, and though we were there in November and December, we got to enjoy so much beauty. We walked our dog around the local lake several times, along with other pets and owners, and the kids loved playing with our dog. We got to experience so many food specialties and they are all amazing. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
