    Description

    Hello!

We’re a friendly, adventurous family living full-time aboard our sailing boat, currently moored in Malta. We’re looking for a kind and reliable (FEMALE) Workawayer to give us a hand with daily life and our 2 boys.

    What we need help with:
    - Light household tasks such as tidying, laundry, and sometimes helping with meals
    - An extra pair of hands in our day-to-day life so things run more smoothly
    - Support with the kids (playing, reading, keeping an eye on them when we’re busy)
-Spending time with the kids through playtime and activities
    - Helping them with school projects and learning in a fun way (teaching skills are helpful)

    What we offer:
    - Accommodation on our boat, on a mooring in Malta with the chance of small day trips.
    - All meals shared with our family
    - The chance to experience life in Malta, vibrant and full of activities
    - A cozy, family atmosphere where you’ll feel part of the crew

    We’d love you to be:
    - Good with kids and patient
    - Creative and happy to join in playtime or school projects
    - Practical, positive, and adaptable
    - Comfortable with the idea of living on a boat (though we’ll be in the marina, so you’ll have the comfort of shore facilities too)

If you’d like to be part of our family adventure and explore Tunisia while helping us out, send us a message — we’d love to hear from you!

    Cultural Exchange & Learning Opportunities

Staying with us means you’ll get the chance to experience life both on a boat and in Tunisia. While we’re based in a marina, you’ll be immersed in local culture and family life.

Learn about Tunisian culture: explore vibrant souks, taste traditional foods, and discover the country’s unique mix of Arab, Berber, and Mediterranean influences.

Family life at sea: get a taste of what it’s like to live aboard a sailing boat, from the cozy routines to the adventurous spirit.

Language & learning: practice English (or Dutch if you’d like!) with us and share your own language in return.

Cooking & sharing meals: join us in preparing family meals — you can learn some of our favorite international recipes and teach us yours.

Creativity & kids’ projects: help with playtime, crafts, and school projects — a rewarding way to connect and share your own skills or hobbies.

This is a unique opportunity to slow down, enjoy simple family life, and experience Tunisia not just as a visitor, but as part of a household.

    Accommodation

You’ll be staying with us on our sailing boat, which is safely moored in a marina in Tunisia. Life on board is cozy and comfortable — it’s not a big apartment, but it’s a unique and memorable experience!

You’ll have your own cabin/bedroom space on the boat (privacy is respected, though space is naturally limited compared to land).
Shared facilities include the kitchen/galley, living area, and bathrooms.
The marina provides access to showers, toilets, laundry, and Wi-Fi, so you’ll have all the essentials.
Meals are included and shared with us as a family. We enjoy cooking together and welcome you to share your favorite dishes too!

The marina itself is a safe and lively place, with cafés, shops, and local life just a short walk away.
This setup is perfect if you’re open-minded, enjoy being close to the sea, and want to experience daily life on a boat while still having the stability and comfort of being docked in a marina.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Because accommodation is on a sailing boat, we think helpers who have experience with boats, camping, or other small-space living will feel the most comfortable. It’s cozy, fun, and different from land life — but not suited for anyone who needs lots of space or luxury.

t would also be helpful if you have basic knowledge of how boats work (lines, deck safety, storage, etc.) — not essential, but a big plus!
