Description
Hi there! We are a young family of three and we live on a ranch in the Northern Interior of BC, the Cariboo. The ranch sits on top of a hill overlooking the beautiful Quesnel area. It is very spacious and welcoming, surrounded by lush forest and hay fields. Aside from a herd of beef cattle, there is also horses and dogs. Much of our time is spent outdoors both working and playing.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Learn about cattle ranching, farming and country life! We would love to share our lifestyle and hobbies. Aside from ranching we ride horses, rope, hike, bike, ski and enjoy many other activities. We are fairly new to this area of BC and would love to have you explore with us. Our ranch is near many lakes and rivers, mountains an hiking trails. Come learn about our western way of life and we would love to learn about your culture as well.

Help
We are looking for help with a variety of tasks. We have many projects around our yard which may include assisting us with feeding pets, painting, barn and general maintenance. We are also looking for help around the house with daily chores and yard help, we have a garden to tend and animals to care for. We also have a toddler age daughter who would love to have someone to play with here and there.

Accommodation
We have a large home with a spacious spare bedroom for our guests to stay. The bedroom is located in our walk out basement, with a large bathroom beside. We would provide the food but we ask for help with some cooking, and cleaning up after meals. We would love to share our recipes and way of eating and also learn about your culture and food/ recipes. Three regular meals a day, times varying depending on where we are and what work we are doing. Snacks and drinks are available at your convenience.
What else ...
We are located approximately 25 minutes outside of the city of Quesnel, BC. We would provide a ride to and from the city when we are going for groceries, supplies and/ or activities.
