Hopefully the nice spring weather will be coming soon, so if you are happy to work outside, we'd be happy to host you!
At the moment we need immediate help with the garden - things like weeding and collecting horse poo from paddocks and spreading it on garden beds. Nothing too difficult but best suited to someone who is physically strong and doesn't mind getting a little dirty.

Help in the house
Our family of 4 (mum, dad and two daughters, 21 and 16) live on a quiet, picturesque 8 acre property around 35 kilometres east of Melbourne. We're a friendly family that enjoys getting to know new people and learning about different countries and cultures. We especially like to prepare meals together as it provides a great opportunity to chat and swap travelling stories (and recipes!). For the time you are with us, you are treated as a family member.
In addition to our gratitude, we can offer a comfortable bedroom, bathroom, all meals, wifi, use of a pool in summer and your own separate lounge/retreat. I'm happy to help you with your English, or prepare a resume, set up a bank account...whatever you may need.
Mainly help with the garden.
Help is required for around 3.5 hours per day, 5 days per week. Weekends and afternoons are free for you to sleep, explore, play with our friendly dogs and cat, binge watch a TV series - whatever you like!
We're not near public transport, but shops, cafes, cinemas and trains etc are only a 10/15 minute drive away, and we're happy to drive you to local places. We have lots of lovely wineries, markets, nature walks and interesting places to see.
Bedroom with double bed, or two singles, in a comfortable house. We also provide helpers with their own private TV/lounge area bathroom. Wi-fi and all meals are included, and a swimming pool, if you like water!
Our property is only a 10/15 minute drive to large shopping centres, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, transport etc.
When time permits we're happy to take you to local places, and if you want to go to Melbourne, our local train stations have regular trains travelling to and from Melbourne, from early in the morning to late at night. It generally takes 35 - 50 minutes, depending on whether the train is an express train or not. Most helpers tend to go to Melbourne on a Friday or Saturday to experience Melbourne night life, and return at their leisure. Ubers and taxis are available from the local train station for those that chose to party into the wee hours of the morning!
If you have (or can arrange) your own transport, our place is the perfect base to explore the the Yarra Valley, a picturesque area with charming wineries, restaurants and cafes We're also a short drive to the Dandenong Ranges - a must see for travellers to Victoria!
Please note that we aren't able to sign off on second year visas nor offer horses to ride.
