Thisis a local non-for-profit Mental Health Organization established in January 2020, as it began the process of formalizing its operations it officially incorporated in March 2021 as a company limited by guarantee in Uganda, devoted to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and behavioral related issues. This place was established by a team of Counseling Psychologists who are passionate about addressing mental health needs for children and their families to be able reach their full potential in Uganda. At, we believe the foundation for good mental health and behavioural change is laid in the early years and society as a whole benefit from investing in children and families. As a result, This was established to join hands with Children, Adolescents, Families and Communities to offer services that appropriately address Children and Adolescents Mental and Behavioural Health Needs.
We carry out various activities that promote a psychological wellbeing among children and their families such as counseling, team building activities, play therapy, life skills training, as well as livelihood projects
Currently the organization facilitates a team of seven professionals that perform daily routines including counseling, Psychosocial Support and community outreaches.

We are looking for someone who is passionate working with marginalised and vulnerable people to make their lives much better. Your role will be to offer practical, social and emotional support. We are looking for people with good communication, interpersonal skills, friendly and approachable. Which to learn about our culture.
Generally your role will be managing identified cases to assess possible psychosocial needs (recognition of needs for mental healthcare, challenging perceptions about oneself and others). With support from the local team, clients will be linked to access other social services that they may benefit from so as to improve on their well being.
Other roles in case management will involve carrying out awareness sessions, psycho education programs in schools and communities on topics about mental health and other topics that build confidence and awareness about oneself.
Whatever you do, your input will help to shape communities for the future and improve quality of life.
Secondly, because we work with children We're also seeking for a proactive and playfully colleague that will provide children with the opportunity to learn and develop through play, have fun and really get their creative energy flowing.
Play helps children develop new competencies that lead to enhanced confidence and the resiliency they will need to face future challenges.

While on your cultural exchange visit, you will be staying within the town, you will be assigned a self contained house, you will have access to water and electricity. Meals will be served and if you're comfortable some days you will get an opportunity to prepare a meal with the local community in home that you will be given.
Immediately you begin the journey from the city center Kampala and drive to Fort Portal in Western Uganda. You will experience different towns, scenery and tea plantations en route. Make stops along the way to enjoy the beautiful views.
Places to visit will include; The King's Palace, crater lakes, walk through the community enjoying the scenery along the way, nature walks, a visit to Amabere Caves for an amazing cultural, geographical and historical experience. These rock caves which are a result of formation of Stalagmites and many more as you come around.
