Description
We - Karen (Teacher, 40), Lilly (now 9) and I (Dirk-Entrepreneur, 43) are travellers and outdoor lovers - but were quite busy in our Jobs.
So we decided to take a break in 2014 and went on a trip one-year around the world. To clear our minds. There we’ve been workawayers ourselfes in South Afrika and liked the way to meet people and learn.
After we came back, we decided to have an own farm in the countryside - just to try. Here now, we are surrounded by rivers, lakes and a park-like landscape on the doorstep to popular Leipzig.
We have animals (sheep, cats, chicken, cows next door), do gardening, renovate the 300 years old Farm. We like to bring people together. So there are also events like markets, BBQ’s, birthday parties and family celebrations on our farm.
Beside that, we just got startet to set up adventuere camps specially for fathers and sons/doughters (see heldentage.net) So any help is appreciated.
You will be intigrated into a very open minded family, if you like. As you can always have your pivacy. There is lots of room here.Types of help and learning opportunities

And - how to survive as a Cityslicker running a farm:)

Help
We need help tomaintain the buildings and rooms (painting windows, walls, construction etc.). make it look nice again.
There’s always sth. to do at the garden
and with the animals (mostly feeding) too. If there’s sth. you never did before…you will get a helping hand.
If there is an event coming up, you can help in organizing that too (shopping, decorating, guiding etc.).
Social media is also a task, if this is your subject.
Or just pick up Lilly (english speaking) from school, cook a meal and help in the household.Languages spoken
